It rides very smoothly and decent storage space for stuffed animals and toys for the plane.
This little ride on scooter is fantastic for traveling with little ones. My granddaughters love to play on it as a rider toy. It’s fantastic for navigating a busy airport without the little ones lagging behind.

Completely Useless after Four Days
When we were preparing for an upcoming two weeks vacation, the Stokke Kid's Ride-On Suitcase & In-Flight Bed seemed like a great idea for our five year old. It would allow us to move more quickly through airports and train stations since we could either pull him or he could pull his suitcase himself. Plus it would provide an option for him to be able to curl up and sleep more comfortably on planes and trains and most importantly, it would allow him to carry his own toys, books, paper and similar, freeing up valuable luggage space and lessening the weight that the parents had to carry.Note the words "seemed like a great idea" above. On the first day, the five year old was opening the lid and the entire button depressing mechanism on one side broke out of the plastic housing. This made it impossible to actually close the lid since it now only was held on to the top of the suitcase on one side, not both. Luckily we travel with some random straps so were able to at least work around this issue. On the third day, the five year old was being pulled through a train station when one of the wheels broke off. The suitcase does not have an axle; it instead has some molded plastic on each side that is the housing for the wheels to connect into. Based on the wear pattern in the photo, the wheel first was damaged as it was digging into the plastic before eventually breaking completely to the point we could no longer roll the suitcase. Again, he is five years old and weighs 45 lbs/20 kg. The product is rated for 3-7 years old and he is a small-normal sized five year old. He had ridden on the suitcase for maybe two hours at this point, before it became useless. On the fourth day, three of the four screws that hold the lid sliding mechanism in place ripped out, rendering it incapable of being transformed into a bed. It is worth noting that we were not even using the lid sliding mechanism at the time. I opened the case to get out some toys and part of the lid was hanging off on the inside. At this point we stopped using the Stokke Kid's Ride-On Suitcase & In-Flight Bed as anything other than an awkward bag that the parents had to carry around. It failed as a Suitcase. It failed as a Ride-On and it now would fail as an In-Flight Bed if we tried to use it. We honestly would have been better off just chucking it into the trash and buying a cheap duffel bag rather than continuing to carry it around; at least a duffel is easier to carry.Unfortunately for us, we purchased the product about two months before we travelled, so the return window had expired before we even used it. For any future purchasers, please make sure you take it out for a few trial runs before actually going on a trip so you don't end up with the same hassle that we had.For us, attempting to use the Stokke Kid's Ride-On Suitcase & In-Flight Bed for an actual vacation was not worth the hassle and frustration since the product broke in so many different ways in such a short time of using it.

Love it
The media could not be loaded. I love this so much so comfortable for traveling with kids. The size is good and quality as well. It’s so cute, and it comes with stickers that your child can decorate with. My girl love it so much, it is so easy to use for her and she likes to seat on it and ride around.Thank you

Awesome kids' suitcase!
This suitcase is a LIFE SAVER for those w/toddlers! My son rode this all through the airport and it prevented so many meltdowns and/or requests to be carried! Totally worth it! Even comes with stickers to decorate it!

Great but several design issues…
Excellent ride-on suitcase that brings joy to my daughter and to me for convenience. Four stars though because it should have wider foot rests (retractable or something) and a backrest - like why can’t there be a handle that comes up from the back and functions as a back rest for my child while I am pulling this? Also what were they thinking in making the ‘leash’ strap light beige? It’s filthy after one use and I am not strong enough to unhook it to wash it - the latch is tightly closed. Lastly the leash/pull strap is slightly too long so we get separated in the terminal if I am to pull it with full strength. Also once when I was turning, my daughter fell off - because the strap was too long to make a tight turn. Practice with your kid before using. Also be aware that the inside compartment is very small. I also didn’t use the ‘mattress’ which is useless and takes up too much room in the narrow compartment inside the suitcase so that part doesn’t travel with us anymore. That said every parent and child comes over to ask us where we got this. But - For this kind of money these design flaws shouldn’t exist! I hope they read my review!

Over hyped
There is a lot of hype about these on social media, but for me, it fell flat. The storage compartment is too small for more than a small blanket and coloring book. There are no foot rests, back support, or rigid handle so it felt like my kid was kinda yee-hawing her way around like a cowgirl in a rodeo. The concept is nice, but the way you have to take the whole thing apart, and flip it, and reassemble it is just not smooth. I wanted to like it, but I just think the design isn't that great. I'd rather gate check a stroller than deal with this. I returned it and will keep an eye out for something better in the future.

One star
Disappointed with Quality – Broken Wheel After Minimal UseI recently purchased this kids’ luggage expecting durability and functionality, especially given the price point. Unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating. The design is cute and initially seemed sturdy, but the wheels are a major letdown. After just a few uses during a short trip, one of the wheels snapped off completely. This isn’t just a minor inconvenience—it made the luggage nearly impossible to maneuver, and my child had to drag it awkwardly. For the cost, I expected much better construction. Kids’ items should be built to handle rough handling, but this felt flimsy and cheaply made. The fact that a wheel broke so easily raises serious concerns about the quality of materials used. If this is how the product holds up under basic travel conditions, it’s not worth the investment. I feel like I wasted my money on something that didn’t last beyond its first outing. While the luggage looks great aesthetically, functionality is key, and this failed miserably. I’d caution parents to think twice unless the manufacturer addresses these durability issues—specifically reinforcing the wheels and using higher-grade components. Until then, save your cash or explore more reliable brands.
