They looked nice but hope they last longer than the first lot I bought

Althought being made of plastic, the Lanterns are well made with a decent finish, & have a little bit of weight to them & feel reasonably sturdy, I think they are fairly attractive, (although this is sunjective), & represent pretty good value for money, espicaly when you consider most other lanterns are £40 - £50 for a pair.I cant comment on weather-proofing or durabilty as Ive only has these for 24 hours, but they seen like they'll be good for at least a few years, if not longer. (time will tell)One thing not advertised is the lanterns can also be charged via USB, and 2 short USB cables are included.They should have mentioned this as the abilty to charged via USB is a good feature to have.Note that the USB ports are on the bottom of the lanterns so you wont be able to have it indoors permanently plugged inThe flame effect is pretty nice, fairly bright, & looks authentic at a glance.However, when you look directly at it for more than 6-7 seconds you can see the repetitive nature of the flickering which does seem rather artificial. Im guessing this is somewhat unavoidable & is probably inherant with all artificial flame lanterns to some degree, & I reckon this is no worse than on other lanterns.The good thing is that the artificial effect is not that noticable if you only look at the lantern briefly, it or have the lantern in your periphial vision. Also, the further away away the lantern is, the less noticable this effect is.Another thing to note is that the repetitive / artificial flcikering effect is much more noticable if you have 2 of these lanterns side by side, as they will flicker perfectly "In-sync" with each other, which I find somewhat annoying.(I initially had both lanterns on my patio table, but took one off becasue of this).Hence I would not recommend puttiing the 2 lanterns close to each other.However, they have added a nice warm atmosphere & ambience to my patio table & garden, & overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I would purchase another set if I needed more, & I would recommend these to others. (I would have rated these at 4.5/ 5 if I could, but 5 stars seemed fairer than 4 )Hope you find my views helpful

These are really beautiful - I loved them and grabbed them just as summer was beginning last year, they lasted throughout and looked beautiful, honestly I would buy them again. However the first one the plastic broke off and the second one I think has become water logged (it's been dried out) and simply doesn't work anymore.While they are outdoor, I don't think they're built for any degree of bad weather. The plastic is not gonna last through heavy winds and rain, and for £15 each, which is what they are really.. why should it? I think they're gorgeous but yeah, not weather proof, and a bit sad they're both useless to me now a year on.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought these as I wanted some extra soft lighting in the garden which was a little different from standard fairy lights. They come with a usb charger for the first charge and after that work on solar power. They might need a boost from the usb when autumn hits but will obviously find out at the time. I took a video as I am really impressed with these so far. The flame effect is very real and they give off a really nice light. They switch on at dusk and remain on from there. I cannot say exactly how long as every time I have gone to bed they are still on so it must be a good few hours. I would 100% recommend these lights, they are amazing and my new favourite things at the moment. Every time I look out of the back window I get mesmerised by the dancing flame effect. One of the best purchases I’ve made during 2020 which otherwise is a year I’d be happy to forget!

Feels quality, look quality. Large solar panel and good battery capacity (according to instructions). Appears to be able to run all night on a good few hours of UK sun. Not a huge amount of light given off but realistic compared to a real flame. Effect is like a BBQ as the flames are dying down. All said very happy with them.Downsides: the flame effect is good but repetitive, could be a bit more varied. Only comes on when very dark. Dusk would be better or a manual overide.

Great feature for your garden

Looks great, don’t know how long the batteries will last but definitely worth the money.
