Good net, but needs to be "prepped"
The 5 ft. net with 3/8th in mesh works well for my target bait, top smelt in the 4-7 inch range. Decent sink rate at 3/4 lbs. per foot. (Check Ahi's website to make sure you're purchasing a net with the correct mesh size for your target bait and the desired sink rate). But before you use the net it needs to be prepped. You'll have to tighten the knots where the braille lines attach to the lead line and trim down the long tag ends. This reduces the chances of tangles when tossing the net. Also check to see if the lead weights are held securely in place. If some of the thread lines used to secure the weights are loose, tighten them and use "super glue" to keep the threading from unraveling.

Worst quality I've ever bought.
I got my net yesterday evening (late delivery). One hinge on the box was broken what I did not consider a big deal since I was going to use a 5 gal bucket anyway.I hung the net over night to loose it's memory. This morning, I threw the net 2 times on soft lawn to see how it works. After the second throw, when I was gathering the net for the next throw, I saw this fuzzy tie line on the lead line. It was broken. I went around the circumference and checked the weights. 8 of them wasn't even tied to the lead line. The tie line is loosely wrapped around the lead line all around. See the attached pictures. I paid $ 44.99 + tax for it.I would not recommend this particular brand to my friend or anybody, it will unravel and fall apart on the lead line.I am sending it back.

Good net.
Needed a slightly larger net to get more bait and this one fits the bill. Hard to find these in stores.

It works. Ok. not durable.
The materials used are quite cheap. It tends to worn out quickly. The braille lines are cheap quality and VERY THIN. The weights are good quality but the net filament is cheap including the hand line which is very short (if you are casting from a high pier). It might need repairs soon. Also, if the braille lines break, it is almost impossible to repair the net. I had this problem before. I bought this 200 version thinking it will be good quality looking at the positive reviews. Now i think i should have spent 50 bucks more and bought the one with repairable braille lines from another brand. the version numbers on this new is a gimmick. 200 or 1000, its the same net.

Could recreational net
This is a good net, needs some tweeking. Edge line gets tangled a lot a bunch when dumping fish. It was frustrating untangling to grab the bait
