This is definitely hot but the heat does not stay with you that long.

I'm not big on sweet and heat typically... That said, I love honey (also love spicy). While on a road trip, I flippantly grabbed a "hot honey" chicken biscuit, and loved it. I found that the place used Mikes brand. Found it on Amazon, and went for the hotter variety. It is quite a bit hotter than the standard, but a true "hothead" will likely be unfazed. Regardless, it's good stuff, and I find myself thinking about new foods to dip in it .

I bought several different hot honeys. This is easily the hottest. Using too much could discourage some (novices beware). I like it in my coffee. Very sweet with burning after taste. You might want a glass of milk or a lemon handy. There was no crystalization, possibly because it is adulterated with chili pepper. However, in my experience only pure tupelo and orange blossom should not crystalize. Side note. The EU requires that honey be sold only if it IS crystalized. Clear liquid honey indicates possible adulteration, not allowed in EU. Honey is a food most likely to be adulterated.
