To be honest, I don't know a thing about muslin other than it's a natural fabric. I bought this mostly because I wanted a subtle plaid and it matched my color scheme. However, it's become one of my favorite blankets! It's very lightweight so I think it will be great for the summer, but I also made it through the entire winter in the Midwest with only this and a lightweight comforter on my bed and stayed warm despite always being cold. It's relatively soft and very comfortable to begin with but only gets more so the longer you use it and more you wash it. Which brings me to another point...this blanket is NOT pre-shrunk. I've never had an issue with shrinkage but I only wash it in cold water and tumble dry on low heat partly and hang it up to dry the rest of the way. As mentioned it is all natural cotton so if you wash it in hot water or dry it on high heat it will most definitely shrink as all cotton items do. If you're planning on laundering it this way I'd recommend buying a larger size, or if that's not possible finding a muslin blanket that is listed as pre-shrunk so it will not shrink when laundered.

Reasonable quality muslin blanket for the price. Right out of the package, it smells like the plastic bag it was packaged in, but that should go away with airing and washing. It is reasonably soft—that will improve with washing, as well. There were 2 fairly decent picks already in the fabric, so I wouldn’t say that quality control was “excellent,” but I trimmed them and am capable of darning, so for the price and delicacy of muslin, I won’t complain too much. If you are looking to purchase something as nice as a 365 muslin comfort blanket/throw, this isn’t it, but for the price, it is a reasonable subsititute with 6 layers rather than 8 layers. That being said, I do have one of those other throws and will say that it is better made and softer from the get go, but it does cost twice as much as this one, and as those other ones are frequently sold out, this will work.

I ordered 79"x94" which is supposed to be full size in the description. I received the blanket, and on the packaging it said it is king size. I usually wash all new beddings, and after washing and drying in a hot dryer, it shrank a lot. It became perfect for a twin size bed, which is what I wanted.

This is a thicker and heavier muslin than the typical 6-layer muslin used for swaddle blankets that get the waffle fluffier texture as you wash over and over. This one stays straight and feels heavier, not in a bad way. I love the multicolor bears pattern. I am saving it for when my baby is older (4-5yrs) and I feel safer letting her sleep on heavier less breathable blankets.

This is a really cute blanket. I really like that it's reversible. I made sure to dry on medium heat to try and avoid shrinkage like other reviewers said. It fluffed up a lot after washing and got really soft. I got the largest size which is supposed to be a large twin. It's shaped kind of awkwardly so you have to put it sideways. Thankfully it doesn't look weird with the design. My 3 year old sleeps super hot and slept great with it. A win in my book.

This is the perfect blanket for people who need a breathable summer blanket for sleeping! It is just a tad bit smaller than a F/Q size blanket and is a bit darker than the pictures imply, but is nice and thick without trapping heat.My blanket came with a defect, sadly, but I will mend it myself.Per other reviews: DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DRYER OR IT WILL SHRINK!
