Great book
I loved the whole Angie Pallorino trilogy. The story is so well written, events clearly described, coming all together at the end.I love Angie, this tough, angry but good hearted female character. I'm grateful to the author for writing Angie so differently, not another wishy washy delicate lady looking for love. Angie's tough, sees herself as broken, she's fiercely independent, proud and brave. She will fight for the truth, risk her life for others.I enjoyed the geographic setting of the action, cloudy, rainy, windy, always cold, the weather just being another hurdle. Mud everywhere, raging river, mountains... I felt the cold when reading!Overall it's a fantastic read, I very much recommend for you to read.LA White is my new favourite author.

Loved it
I’ve just read the complete trilogy and absolutely loved it. This is the last book and I think it’s the best. The characters, story, everything added up to a great read. Have previously read a few books by the same author and intend to read a lot more.

Far better than her last book, The Lullaby Girl.
Angie Pallorino and her boyfriend detective James Maddocks have a romantic getaway, camping and fishing along a river. How nice that is for the two of them in this third book in the series. What could possibly go wrong? Suddenly they hear cries for help from a man walking his dog who have found The Girl in the Moss.I think this book can be read as a standalone but I feel the reader will get so much more from it if they read the other two books first. The character of Angie Pallorino develops so strongly that it is very easy to forget this is fiction and she is not someone I know in real life.I enjoyed reading The Girl in the Moss and think it is far better than the last book, The Lullaby Girl. The plot is more complex, character development is stronger, Angie’s back story is put to excellent use and the emotional intensity is sharper. Tears were brought to my eyes due to the depth of feeling and the quality of Loreth’s writing. I liked how there is a psychological thriller element woven into this story which nags at the reader making you wonder “what if?”. For me The Girl in the Moss is a GOOD 4 star read.

Did not disappoint
This is the 3rd book in the Angie Pallorino series and it did not disappoint.I usually know the plot in most crime novels, but this one kept me guessing.Angie Pallorino is a likeable character albeit flawed and I would like to see her in future books.Altogether a great read.

Right on the money...!!
Best, by far, of the Maddocks and Palomino trilogy. (I think though it will run and run, so expect more Maddocks and Pallorino books.) This was pacey, different and breathtakingly written. You have to pursue the books to its conclusion and the turns and twists engage you wholeheartedly. Some of which you just don't see coming. She got away for the tired formulaic approach to storytelling without basal references to serial killers' psyche and the Russian Mafiaso Mob. I found the story riveting and wholesomely engaging and if she can keep to this level of storytelling, I'd love to read some more. Enjoy. I did.

Excellent
Having very much enjoyed the first two books in the series I was very much looking forward to this book. Well worth the wait and it definitely did not disappoint. None put downable.Totally hooked from first page. I love how the scenic descriptions are so atmospheric and just suck you into the story, tension building from the off.I find the voices of different characters authentic, as was the development of Angie's character.Trying not to give away spoilers but just to say perfect last chapter

What a happy end for such violent and moving story.
This moving story was a timely and suitable end to the trilogy which I would recommend to someone of a more robust constitution , it was not too violent to spoil the main theme.

Brilliant
Having read all 3 of the Angie Pallorino books I have to say they were absolutely brilliant and you could not put them down. I am sorry that was the last. What an incredible mind the author has. Will definitely be reading more of her books.
