Some Good Songs, Among Many Crap Ones
I wanted to like this CD, as I love one hit wonders. However, I thought that this album was dire. There are some good songs, sure, but there is also a fair amount of crap on here too. Most of CD2 I had never even heard of, along with some songs on CD3. I only really enjoyed CD1, which was the only reason that I bought this CD in the first place. This album is a missed opportunity. Trust me, there is a very good reason why this CD is so cheap.Whoever compiled this CD also did a lousy job of researching the artists and bands featured on it. As already mentioned, Aqua had several big Top Ten hits during the late 1990s, so can hardly be regarded as one hit wonders. Vanilla Ice also had another big hit in the early 1990s with Play That Funky Music, in addition to his Number One Ice Ice Baby. Mark Wynter, featured on CD3, also had three other big hits in the early 1960s with Image Of A Girl, Venus In Blue Jeans and Go Away Little Girl. So, these are at least three examples of artists who have had several hits. There may be more artists with multiple hits on this album that I am not already aware of. In any case, this is an album with a misleading title, featuring some artists who were famous for other songs. Although the CD is very cheap, it's still a waste of money and I don't recommend that anyone should buy it.I wait patiently for a PROPER one hit wonders compilation, though I could be waiting for a very long time...

Extremely Disappointing!
If there was a -5 rating, I'd give it to this compilation. There's only a few recognisable songs on this compilation. Some, very few, good songs but the rest is garbage. The only reason I purchased it was to get a couple songs I've been looking for for some time and they showed up on this set. Most of the tracks sound as if they're rejects and outtakes from sessions. I've never heard of most of these artists and the songs are like, WHAT? I took this set in my car and skipped most of the tracks. A lot of the songs are remakes of some notable songs and they've been butchered. If you're going to do a remake of a Beatles song, as is with Michelle on this set, at least show some respect and do it proud. This compilation was a total waste of time and money and I wouldn't recommend this one. I've downloaded a few of the good ones onto iTunes so I have them and the set is going in the bin. Don't waste your time or money on this set. It's not worth it.

Waste of time, not as described by the title.
Okey In my opinion I found this triple CD puzzling!!!! First, I have always had the opinion that the saying One Hit Wonder, meant a number one single and nothing else. So playing on the word ONE I was mistaken. So Greatest Ever One Hit Wonders. I must say that the compilers of this set, have no knowledge of the music they are flogging. Many of the artists had more that ONE hit single, while many had barley hit the top 45. Not quite what I had expected.
