GoPro Jaws: Flex Clamp (All GoPro Cameras) - Official GoPro Mount

Really nice GoPro accessory, super versatile and simple in application, but very effective! The only situation that this accessory is not very viable is when you are trying to clamp to a slim or skinny surface or object such as a basketball rim, car window or some bed frames. Has a rubber adjustable strap on the inside of the mouth of the clamp that is supposed to help with that purpose and it does an okay job of it. Recommended for sure, can be used in alot of situations

A year ago, I bought the SameTop brand of this accessory mount, and that was a mistake. It lasted only a couple of uses, until the strength of the spring, broke the handle in half, and broke one side of the jaw hinge! I wrote a review for it, and even included a picture showing the zip-tie that I was using, to keep the handle together for a little longer, until I could get a replacement. A year later, and now I have bought the official GoPro brand of this Flex Jaw, just how did it perform? Well, I really put it to the test! I was doing a lawn maintenance routine on my lawn. I wanted to shoot a really cool action video of the dethatcher attachment, dethatching my lawn. So I clamped this jaw, to the lowest point of my tractor, where the cutting deck would have mounted to the tractor, just underneath the engine. I used the adjustment strap, to secure it to a very narrow point, and that spring is so strong, that it was able to hold it there, against gravity mind you! It literally lasted the entire dethatching project, and it gave me super cool footage of the dethatching tines in action, yanking out the dead thatch and moss. The flex jaw never broke on me, and it did a great job! Differences between the two you might ask, other then quality? Well, aside from the official GoPro version being of a higher build quality, the GoPro version has a rubber grip on the handle, the Sametop is just smooth plastic. Also the GoPro version has a shorter goose neck on it, where as the Sametop is about an inch longer. They both have the same strength in the spring though. CONCLUSION: Sometimes it does pay to buy cheap, but not in this case. This is one of those times, where you truly do get what you pay for. If you want the quality version of this accessory mount, then you must buy the official GoPro brand. 5 out of 5 stars!

Strong jaws are pretty versatile. The rubber strap that runs through the center adjusts to help grip odd shapes. The Gooseneck stays in place very well, but at the same takes some persuasion to get into the position you want. Overall, this thing is super useful and super sturdy. Don’t buy the $16 rip off version that will break after 2 hard uses.

This clamp is a beast! Its defiantly meant to hold on for dear life. I got it to try and mount to a fence, but this is more the type of clamp you would put on a piece of wood, pole, or table. The clamp is too big for the standard fence. The gooseneck is great, and wicked handy as it detaches from the clamp and can be used with any of the other mounts. I'm glad I picked this up to complete the accessory collection for the go pro!

I just baught this item; still being tested for durability, but funtionality is outstanding. I've been using the GoPro series for the last couple of years. I love the XShot 2.0 for what it does (check it out for your GoPro accessories). Specific to the Jaws item here, I use it strictly for BIKING (road biking). I have a permenant item already attached, but I can't get really good shots regarding (only straight away). I always thought if GoPro came out with something that allows MOBILITY (moving the camera angle, WITHOUT stopping in motion), well, here it is!! I tested the item on angle shots, shots on the move while in motion, rear shots (cars coming up behind you), front views, and various other views. I biked for a couple of hours and wanted to see the various angle views that I can capture, this item does it well !! It's built solid, durable, glamps on various functional ways. Holds the firm position as you angle the arm. My only concern is, will it last (WILL THE POSITION HOLD AS YOU MOVE THE ARM, OR WILL IT START TO SLACK????? I am an avid long distance road rider, I will put this item to the test !!! I normally do day rides over a 100 miles in distance, Century rider, and multi day rider, this item will be test on the bike :) I have 4 batteries, and am able to use the GoPro for safety AND documenting my adventures with family and myself on the road. I have not used it yet for any other items, otherthan on the ROAD BIKE. Buy the item, you will not regret it for your GoPro accessories (this was the missing link with me), I feel like my accessories are now complete. (it does vibrate a bit though, can't be prevented, the stem is built firm.)

This mount proved itself the first day I received it. I've clamped it on to an electric power tractor to take videos of the grandkids driving...soooo funny! Clamped it to the front of our 4 seat ATV with snow on the ground & videoed since snow is such a rare sight around here. I'm amazed how the clamp remains in the position I first place it without any deviation no matter how much shaking is going on. The ball joints also remain in place without any movement. You can really manipulate & contort this device to about any position so you can get the perfect shot you're looking for. If you're a GoPro owner this is an essential device to add to your collection. Word of advice: do not show your wife what you were doing in the snow with "her" ATV...she confiscated the keys when she viewed the video. Yup! Hey! What about those Seahawks?

I planned to use this in an active sports area where the GoPro could be bumped and hit with the ball. It's taken abuse but held the original shot even after small contact. Only time will tell how long that will continue. But for now, definitely worth the money. The clamp range can grab ahold of the skinny side of a 2x4. If that is relevant to you.

This clamp is made out of good quality. I’ve been using it quite often, and the grip remains the same.

フェリーで海に出る際に、柱などに固定して撮影するために購入しました。 徒歩で移動中にリュックの肩に付けて使用できることも期待していたのですが、思っていた以上に大きかったです。女性の手くらいあります。 試しにリュックに付けて歩いてみたところ、安定性は申し分なかったのですが、結構重いため、肩がこりそうです。体に付ける用ではないので、仕方ないですね…。 また、アームがかなり硬く、動かすとキィキィ嫌〜な音がします。笑 ですが、やはり期待通りの使いやすさで、これからたくさん使えそうな気配しかないです！ 難は多々ありますが、使っていくうちに適応できると思います^^

Il existe des accessoires identiques chez d'autres marques concurrentes, moins chers. J'ai décidé d'acheter celui ci "l'officiel Gopro", il coute cher, mais quelle qualité. La pince est très puissante. Le bras est très dur (il ne vibre pas), il reste en position. Il y a un antidérapant sur la pince qui s'adapte aux formes du support. Je l'ai essayé sur ma voiture, même avec des coups de volant, cela ne bouge pas. Je ne sais pas ce que vaut la "copie chinoise" mais ce modèle là, est super. Il vaut largement le prix qu'il coute.
