I bought these because I am making wines and this was the best price per oz. And these are actually of good quality: taste nice!

A bit overpriced but fresh, tasty too. Actually a wonderful addition to my morning cold cereal.

These yellow raisins have a fresh tart flavor that adds so much to oatmeal, rice pudding, and raisin and almond butter toast. I consider them a staple to the kitchen and I always keep a spare box on hand so I do not run out. Also, they are essential to that Lemon and Raisin Sauce you always pour over Gingerbread. Some people even add yellow raisins to chicken and almond salad that is dressed with honey and lemon. Endless uses!

I use golden raisins as a substitute for sugar and/or for fruits that I'm either allergic to or have to avoid for other health reasons, which means that I go through a LOT of boxes! Only one supermarket in my area even carries this product, and so it's easier to just order at least 8 boxes of these at a time from Amazon. It's a few cents less expensive than the supermarket price too, but honestly not enough to make any real difference. The big difference though is the condition of the boxes in the Amazon orders because almost all of them are defective: The glue holding one of the long sides together has failed, resulting in one side of the box being almost or entirely open. Luckily the raisins are within a bag and that has remained intact, but I have never seen this box defect in any of these that my supermarket carries. It may be that Sun-Maid ships the defective boxes to Amazon, who knows? I just started ordering these from Amazon a few months ago and so I don't know if it's a product-run-specific issue which will eventually go away when that run is used up; I guess time will tell. FYI, the stamped expiration date on the faulty boxes is September 2026. I should probably check the expiration date on the normal/non-defective boxes at my local store the next time I'm there, to see if it's the same. If so, then the failed boxes are probably an Amazon-warehouse-handling issue; but if not, it's probably a manufacturing issue.
