I have a small shop in my home, and I buy a reference book every order I make with Amazon. I just had gotten my first Terry Harrison watercolor book. I was initially disappointed in the small size, but then I read it, and it changed the whole way I viewed watercolors. So I bought a second one, not the least disappointed. Now plan on having EVERY book he writes in my reference library. I plan on giving my watercolor students his books for Christmas. If I had only one book to buy, it would be this one. God bless you all, and hope you learn as much as I did from this small treasure. Don't let size fool you.

There's something about this book that's more fun and straightforward than other watercoloring books; other watercoloring books seem a bit dry (no pun intended). I'm excited about trying the techniques and possibly buying more books from this artist.When I took watercoloring as a class, we weren't officially taught to stretch the paper and the method that was mentioned used tape and seemed too burdensome because we had to readjust the paper after a while and it was done before painting... This book just says to wet the back of a finished piece and then add books on top, simple solution!

Like the spiral binding so pages stay open. Common sense instructions are great.

I am very pleased with the book as I had viewed it prior to ordering. My issue is that fifteen pages of the book are bound upside down!!! Strange?!? They are in the middle so would be a nightmare to try to take apart..Oh well

Everything was presented in an easy to understand and accomplish manner.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is beginning to paint in watercolors and wants to learn some basic techniques. His step-by-step instructions are very helpful. I give it five stars because it is well written, easy to understand, makes a lot of good recommendations regarding brushes, creative new techniques, etc. i also like the ring binder - very handy in using this book, as it stays open better while using it than a regular bound paperback.

Sure, Terry provides nice tips, but if you own his other books, these tips are taken straight from those books. I was disappointed. If you don't have his books, you might find his tips useful.

I have been painting for many years and have just recently started watercolours. Totally opposite to oils and is a huge challenge but terry Harrison's books have been so helpful and easy to understand. Thankyou Amazon for another quality product as usual. Received my book on time here in Australia. Most times I can buy my books from amazon and have them posted to me quicker than buying here in Australia itself. Thanks heaps, Chic Page

ce petit livre est un excellent outil à consulter souvent pour résoudre les problèmes ponctuels que l'on peut rencontrer, ou découvrir des astuces simples et efficaces.Le format carnet à spirale est bien pensé, car le livre reste ouvert à la page choisie.Terry Harrison est un peintre dont j'apprécie le travail ainsi que les nombreux ouvrages qu'il a produit, qu'ils soient traduits ou pas.Le présent livre est en anglais, mais très facile à comprendre.Il s'agit d'un livre d'astuces, et non de "pas-à-pas".Convient aux débutants et aux non-confirmés.Le prix est raisonnable.
