I am having a pelvic floor dysfunction flare that I am hoping I can work out on my own without going back to physical therapy. I've been stretching a lot more than I had been, and I started using a Therawand. When I opened the package, the diameter was less than I expected it to be, which is actually good, because it will be easier to insert and use if I am experiencing spasms. I suspect the small diameter would make it more comfortable for a man to use to treat PFD than many dilators would be. Right away, it has been an excellent tool for reaching tight spots, and, for me, the curves make it easier to target trigger points than straight dilators. The only thing I am not thrilled about is that it is acrylic, not glass. It has a really smooth surface and is medical grade, so it should be easy enough to keep clean. It takes a little bit to get the hang of it, but it's a really good product. I use it for my pelvic floor dysfunction 3 times a week to loosen an overly tight coccygeal muscle. It's very slender, so if you have total tightness down there, there's almost no pain with insertion. The handle design makes for a decent grip too. In combination with my muscle relaxers and doing this, my pain has significantly improved.

Thank god for this thing, it’s made to provide self therapy for your pelvic floor muscles via internal trigger point work and I’ve used it myself a couple times so far, and the work is helping me immensely. Only wish it was a bit thicker/broader/broader tip, for some reason that would feel more comforting to me in that area

Beats going to a physical therapist for pelvic floor injury. Once you are shown how to use it for therapy it is rather easy. Also a good little 'toy' for the timid.

I was in so much pain and so confused about what was going on. I was misdiagnosed a number of time (I was diagnosed as having interstitial cystitis, which I don't). PT helped TREMENDOUSLY, and I've been using this wand on my own for over a year to prevent and alleviate any pain flares. This product is a lifesaver. I feel like I'm back in control of the issue and no longer worry about having the pain/wondering if it will ever go away.

Money wasted!

Well i got it fst & came wth some instrycts, so will advise This has worked extremely well for my pelvic floor muscle disorder. It can reach deeply within vaginal walls with the small tip to massage all 4 different areas of the pelvic muscles. It really has saved me from jumping off the bridge with pain and this disorder. Nothing is fix all, but this is one of my tools in my pain tool box
