This set was hours of fun for my son and I.
Some parts can be difficult to assemble for small fingers but, in general, are fairly easy to assemble. I was a little disappointed when the set arrived due to the battered box. Everything inside was was in the desired condition and was all there. Since I'm collecting these for my son and me to enjoy, box condition wasn't so important. I just like them that way. The number of buildings and vehicles was very satisfying and kept us busy for much of a three day weekend. Though I think legos are overpriced in general, I have to say that this set is worth it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Cant go Wrong with Legos
These are a household favorite and no matter which set, the kids seem to love it. The capital city sets have become a big hit with my little ones resulting in the purchase of several sets. Yes, they can be pricey but they're a classic toy which kids today spend hours playing with.....an anomaly in our digital age.

Pieces grouped together
This was a birthday present and was a great success. Something that made construction easier was that all pieces required for a building or vehicle were bagged together.

Great set for budding Lego Enthusiasts
This is a great set to get for those interested in getting into Lego. While 1200+ pieces may sound like a lot, and quite daunting for a little kid. Have no fear, this set is compromised of many little projects. This is why I think it is great as a starter set. It allows your kid to build multiple projects each with varying degrees of complexity. Building up his confidence in working with Lego. By the time it is done, they would have created multiple structures and used more than 1000 Lego Pieces! When they are done, now they have their own little city to expand and play with. Just beware...of stepping on the pieces! Overall, I think this is a great set for newbies and experienced Lego people alike.
