Authentic!
This is the same brand I had in Tunisia as a child almost 69 years ago! It's the only harissa I've found in the US that tastes right. It's truly spicy, much more than any of the American ones. If you're not used to it try a quarter teaspoon in a bowl of stew and add more to taste. If you have a lot left, spread the rest flat in a ziplock freezer bag and break off pieces when you need them.

Poor condition product
The product arrived in poor physical condition, it looks beaten on all sides, as if it were an old product. I am afraid to consume it.

Genuine Tunisian product that tastes right
Phare du Cap Bon is my gold standard. If that's 100, this is 90 to 95. It's maybe a tiny bit inferior, but it's hardly noticeable and it's totally adequate for my couscous. In short, it "tastes like harissa, which most of these pernicious imitations fail to do. You can't make harissa outside of the Levant, imo. It's made of three specific kinds of chili peppers, plus carvi, and it either tastes right or it just doesn't. Imagine some dumbscrotum making a concoction of jalapenoes, red bell peppers, and powdered cayenne pepper and selling that as "chipotle sauce." That's what I mean by "pernicious imitation."

Harissa
The Harissa can look old and little rust spots around the rim and the Harissa did not have a very good flavor compared to other Harissa I had in the past. It was also much more expensive than the others. It was easy to open.

Is it so hard to send an undented can?
I ordered the small and large cans. Both arrived dented. The cans were not dented in shipping. Does Amazon have a protocol that prevents dented cans from being delivered? Seems that’s a hard NO. The harissa is nevertheless edible and tasty. But running the risk of botulism is not fun.
