Really classic look and conceals even our larger frame firearms. The clock keeps time well, and most of our guests have no idea that there is a compartment large enough to conceal a larger frame pistol inside it. There's also a key to lock the clock, so you can keep it from unauthorized access while you are away.It came packaged very secure in a foam cassing, and the key is inside the concealed compartment with silica packets. Don't throw away the key as you toss those packets. It is rolling around loose in there. THey also included the first battery for the clock, so when it arrives, you don't have to go hunt one down.Overall, not only is this a product I would recommend, but it is one I would consider buying again for the office.

For the price, you get a nice clock with a lockable compartment. Everything works as stated. Dimensions prevent the concealment of a larger Sig Sauer handgun with light attached , a smaller framed Walther PPS model fits perfectly. Clock is easy to read, wood is decent and it appears to just be a clock when looking at close up. I had to let my cleaning lady know what it was, so that she didn't accidentally open it up while deep cleaning my home. Access is fast and easy to it's concealment area. Bought two of these, both items had wood finish problems. One was scratched, the other didn't get enough stain in places. I touched them both up with a little polish, but if buying for a gift, look in the box before giving it.Good looking from a few feet away. Maybe you don't want it to look too good, considering what you are stashing. Looks alright up on a shelf, you'd never tell what it was unless you took it down and inspected it closely. Magnets are very strong, takes effort to open front, easy to do with your fingertips in the gap but you(or others) won't open it by accident or moving it around to clean. Holds a compact .38, and a couple speedloaders with plenty room to spare. I think that's a 4" .357 in the photo, that's prob the limit in fit. Event though a large frame would probably fit, I think it might be hard to reliably retrieve that size when under stress. You'd probably pull the whole thing down on you. There's a lip on the front that is nice to keep ammo inside when open, but it could(would) probably hang up on a big frame. A compact 9 or 40, or a 2" or 3" .38/.357 would be best in my opinion.

Packs easily a Beretta 9mm PX4, a 2.5" barrel .357 Magnum (would fit a 4" too).It LOOKS nice - is a GREAT VALUE - and REALLY DOES NOT SUGGEST ANYTHING is inside.I LOVE IT. Also - the "face" doesn't go all the way down when opened - it "hovers" so it doesn't make a "smacking" noise off of whatever it's sitting on. Again: LOVE IT.

Questionable functioning clock mechanism

When I received this item I opened it immediately as I was looking forward to receiving it. Upon inspection I found that the front edges were either damaged or not finished correctly. I immediately called Customer Service as instructed on the invoice and they told me they would send a Return Authorization within 10 days. I don't know why they could not email me the Return Authorization like most companies. I waited 15 days before I contacted them and they said they had mailed out the RA and they intimated that I had probably thrown it out because it looked like a postcard. Wrong! I open every piece of mail I receive and check it. I had to wait anther 10 days to receive "another" Return Authorization" which they say they mailed out on May 1, which is a Saturday. I shipped the package back and now I will wait to see how long it takes to send me a replacement. From what I could see the product looked fine, except for the area of the wood that was not finished. I will review further once I receive the replacement - good or bad.
