Very good
Purchased this to do some rust proofing on my SUV.Started by spraying the four wheel wells and surrounding areas to see how well it would stay.So far it has adhered quite well and normal driving through rain has not washed it away so far.

Great for cable on boat lift
WD 40 seems to be my go to however it wasn't really working for more than a day on the boat lift. This lube is tacky and kind of penetrating and foaming at the same time. It has lasted all summer.

Used on camper stabilizers threaded rod.
Sticks well on surfaces. Lube seems thick enough to remain during bad weather and travel.

Truly waterproof, penetrating grease.
I had a can of black Lubriplate open gear lube for several years and this is just like that; black, nasty, sticky, bubbly, penetrating, waterproof grease. I had the can of Lubriplate for several years because a little goes a long, long way and lasts a long long time.If you get it on your clothes NOTHING will get it out, not even lacquer thinner, lighter fluid, Oxyclean or Dawn. Spray carefully and use a back up rag and some disposable vinyl gloves unless you really don't care about the over spray. However, if you have linkages, ball sockets, gear racks or chain drives on lawn and garden, farm equipment or whatever that need truly waterproof, long lasting, high pressure lubrication, this will do a really good job. This is a strong lube that sticks in place unbelievably well.I gave it four stars only because it doesn't have a spray tip that will accept a spray straw. It's even more messy because of that. I'll find some kind of replacement nozzle eventually.

other brand name open gear lubes and the best up to this CRC lube was a Dupont dry ...
This is the real deal, have been trying too find a lube that will not fling off a gearbox that has an input of 17K rpm and an output of 2K. Have tried motorcycle chain lubes, other brand name open gear lubes and the best up to this CRC lube was a Dupont dry lube -only issues with this dry stuff was noisy. Now using this CRC lube, applied buy spraying into a container then using a small brush to coat the gears. The spray application is kinda messy for my purpose of lubing a gearbox that is smaller then your hand. Easily cleans with brake cleaner and rag. I found after applying with brush, spin the gearbox very slowly to ensure proper distribution then allowing to set over night (smells petroleum like) to set-up, works like a charm! It may set-up quicker but never checked. This lube will add a little friction vs a dry lube as it is very sticky but will make straight-cut gears gears whisper quite.

Good Stuff
Used on a vintage atlas lathe. Runs almost silent now. Has a strong smell but not unbearable. Be careful during application as this can get messy and will probably stain fabrics as it has graphite and molly. Great product that has earned a permanent place on my chem shelf.

Great Grease in a Can
I used this to grease components of the steering system of my garden tractor. The parts that aren't easy to reach so you can manually rub grease on I was able to reach with this spray.Be aware that it's black and likes to splatter everywhere, but it cleans up easily enough.
