Just buy it!!
The Sadies just seem to get better with every album they make, as they hone their sound and consolidate their myriad influences and styles: Byrds, Neil Young, Dick Dale, Flying Burrito Bros, (early)Pink Floyd, Ennio Morricone and everything in between.Opening with the blistering Clarence White style licks of instrumental Northumberland West into the psyche tinged country of translucent sparrow and on into the deft picking, deep rich vocal and shear beauty of 1000 Cities falling - the scene is set for an incredible journey through all that is good about music, delivered with consummate musical virtuosity without the slightest trace self indulgence. If you like quality music then simply buy this album, you won't be disappointed. One thing though, as great as the Sadies albums are they don't do justice to experiencing them live, they are probably the best live act I've ever seen. Despite delivering sets of around 40+ songs you still want more!! They seem to have a bottomless bag of songs to play and just pluck 'em out at will and execute them faultlessly and with great passion. If you get a chance to see them you'd be a fool to miss it!!
