These type of paint "pens" are really spoiling me when painting miniatures or details for items on our HO train layout. It' SO MUCH easier to just grab a marker, shake and open, than mess with a bottle/tube/squeezy of paint when you just want a little for some small detail on a figure, vehicle, or diorama. AND no brush to wash, clean, shape etc!!!I've only used this type of "marker/pen/paint" for a small time so far, but I LOVE THEM. I got a first batch of 18 that was slightly cheaper than these, and then this pack of 12 and BOTH were extremely good at what they did! I'm VERY happy that this manufacturer provides sets that have a huge variety of colors, and I'm going to be ordering one of them when next I start painting figures again for games and gaming (really like enhanced games due to all the figurines painted ! War of the Ring looks great that way as a friend has it, and I hope to finish mine the same).So far the coverage of these "inks/paints" seems quite good, though of course, just like paints, it takes normally two coats to go from a dark color to a light finish. But these actually seem more opaque than most of my paints, including the Vallejo's, so that's a really good sign for coverage. The colors in this batch seem very vibrate and rich, and it appears that's pretty standard with this brand. A bit of a Citadel wash made them perfect on the one fig that I used them almost exclusively on. It brought the brightness down abit in more keeping with the game it was for. I'm not sure how long they will last, will get back to here about that if it seems too short to me. But at this point I really like this set of markers and will be ordering a larger set in the near future. They seem a great buy and product.

Contrary to many of the other reviews, I don’t find the colors as vibrant as I expected (not bad but…). Good assortment of colors.I like the tips but with that said, take note that they take getting used to; and some practice too.Overall I do like them

I am an artist and have my own kit. I love to paint kindness rocks and other little items. My special needs sons have recently taken an interest in learning so I decided to get them a small starter kit so they can learn how to properly use this type of marker and paint their own rocks.I love that this kit has a nice variety of colors without being overwhelming since decisions are hard for them. They are also easy to prime and use with my help. They love to paint with brushes, but that can be messy and hard to control for those with poor motor skills. These are like holding a regular marker and they can make thin or thick brush strokes. The colors are vibrant and they only need one coat. They can draw and outline then fill in or color an entire rock one color with these wonderful acrylic paint markers.As with all acrylic markers, I suggest coating the finished rocks with a clear coat spray to protect them and make the art permanent. Another big plus is they are easy to wash off of the hands. I highly recommend this brand and this set and it's a great value.

Colors are vibrant, ink dries quickly without smudge on paper ( I've haven't tried it on rocks or other surfaces yet, but will update after doing so).

I use these for decorating gift tags and labels. The pointed tip works well for fine work, while angling it gives broader coverage. Cleanup is easy. For better opacity, be sure to shake each pen well before and during use to keep the paint blended. A good value for the price.

This set is really nice to get you started for your next art project. I am a big fan of all things “fine point”. These markers are great for fine detail work and do not bleed through most papers I have used so far. I use them often.

These acrylic paint markers work really well, especially for small-scale art like in a drawing book. The ink flows smoothly, the colors are bold, and the control system helps avoid mess. Great for crafts, fine details.
