La Vieja Fabrica Jams, Seville Orange Marmalade, 13.25 Ounce (Pack of 6)

The product here is a 6-pack of glass jars containing marmalade. Each jar is enough for 2-3 loaves of bread. I find the marmalade to have a good balance of sugar and acid, and it has a definite orange taste. The composition seems to vary seasonally. This marmalade seems to contain about one piece of rind per teaspoon of marmalade, and it's thin enough that you start to think about using a teaspoon instead of a knife to move it from the jar to a piece of bread; I would personally prefer a little more rind and a little thicker but these are minor gripes. Overall this is a fine marmalade and a good choice for eating every day.

Was expecting something better than what I was buying at both Whole Foods and Trader Joe, but this product was a disappointmentin relation to the products sold at both of those stores. It had not even half as much of the rind which is always so enjoyable to chewand in that regard it was such a disappointment; just a lot of jelly-like substance. I gave it away, all the jars I received, to several women who were happy to receive it because they had not ever tried any of this kind of product before and therefore didn't knowhow good it could be. Preserves like this make me think of my mother's yearly stock of strawberry jam. So good, not so sweet as most commercial products, you taste the fruit, not just sugar. My only complaint is the size of the jar. It seems a bit pricey for the amount. I can't complain about the quality though. I use it in plain or vanilla yogurt, on scones, warm buttered toast, etc. If you enjoy the traditional taste of home made jam, without the abundance of added sugar, I think you will like this, it is truly a delight.

OK, it ain't my mother's Tomato Jam. But, who can match one's mom? Her's had slivers of orange skin and a small cinnamon stick. The flavors all combined to create something greater than the individual parts.This has firm chunks of tomato surrounded by a watery syrup. That's a preserve and not a jam. There should be a blending of flavor and not each bit provides a different taste -- not a jam.P.S. Mom's green tomato piccalilli was to die for.

I like to order products from overseas. Spain produces delicious Peach jam. The first ingredient is Peaches. Imagine that? No high fructose corn syrup. They smell and taste of fresh peaches.There are Peach orchards 10 miles from me but I'm no longer able to make my own Jams. I happened to see these in the Warehouse and I'm SO glad I ordered them.Great company.

I bought this based on the glowing reviews, but even though it is less sweet than some of other brands, I still find it a bit too sweet for my taste. I am one of those who prefer to have more of the taste and slight bitterness of the orange rather than the sweetness of the jelly, so I'll keep looking.

Ordered plum but got peach. But enjoyed it anyway. Good jam for the money but DIFFICULT TO OPEN.

We enjoyed this jam while in Barcelona, and were delighted to see it available at Amazon; however - this jam is not the same. It's more jelly, and less jam, and doesn't have that strong raspberry flavor we enjoyed overseas. I wonder if they sell a different product for export.
