Sticks out further than I like. Wish it were closer to the vent. So far, it's been sturdy and has stayed attached after a few uses. Most of the ones that I've tried; the grip weakens after a few uses.

I mounted this Holder to one of the Center Vents of my 2003 Ford Ranger. The mounting clip/clamp was too wide to fit my vents and I had to modify the "Inner Vent Grille" to get it to fit. That was my only problem, this Holder keeps my phone in place, in position, and ready to view at any moment, no worries !A good mount, a good value, but watch the Vent size to make sure it will fit.Overall: A great Phone Holder and it will work with a heavier phone too; I like it and would suggest this mount to a friend with the correct vent size or the ability to modify the vent to fit !Pros:Easy to mount.Easy to setup.Easy to apply the metal Plate to the Phone, (I wanted a more secure fit so I applied the metal plate to the outside of the case; so far, so good !Phone stays in place, even on rutted roads and Off-Road Travel..., NICE !Cons:Only two things:One is it sticks out a little further than I thought it would, I am getting used to it so it is really ok.Two, The Securing Clip/Mount, used to mount the Holder to the Vent, The Clips are WIDE, I would think almost too wide for some applications, like mine.UPDATE: June 2019, 8 months after install.Only thing to add is that the "Glamore Car Phone Mount " is still holding on to the Ford Ranger Center Vent as installed; it hasn't dropped off, and as I said in the first part of this review, I drive a rough road to get to my place, over one mile long.Overall I am very happy with my purchase, the mount allows positioning of a Samsung G8 Phone in a position that is perfect to view from the driver's seat and easily moved if necessary. The Magnet Mount hold firmly and allow easy release with a slight sliding motion to the side.For me... I great addition to the Cab of the Truck !Added, 09/27/2019: It hasn't been a year yet but I was on Amazon and thought I would update.After a year the the Phone Mount is still holding the Phone and holding on to the Vent where is was mounted almost a year ago. Doesn't slip off the Vent as expected, doesn't allow the phone to slip off the magnetic mount, as I thought it might over time, this is a great mount.

Good idea, it connects easily, but even though the magnet is quite strong, it is not strong enough to hold the phone to the mount. It could be my case, as it's quite thick, so I can't totally fault the mount. I have a Samsung Galaxy 9+ and it will not hold it, it sticks to the mount, but as soon as I start driving, it drops off. Maybe with a thinner case, it might work better? I don't know. Also, this mount IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN and it cost me $14. RIP-OFF!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MOUNT UNLESS YOU HAVE A SMALLER, LIGHTER PHONE WITH A THIN CASE.

Car got broken in and someone stole my old car mount..bought this one since my old one wasn’t that good, and I’ll explain why below.The package came with the mount and a couple metal plates for the magnet, one with sticky side and one without. Installation was very straightforward: one side to mount onto the AC duct with ability to tighten the grip, and the other side for cell phone also with magnetic base and adjustment depending on how flexible you want the phone to be when mounted. I drive a 2013 RX 330 and the mount fits perfectly. Very sturdy with my phone (iPhone 7 plus) on, and was able to turn it in various angles.With my prior experience of other mount was that it tends to fall off or drops due to the weight of the phone. However, What makes this mount different is that the angle I adjusted it to, stays very steadily! Also, the whole thing doesn’t come off when I pulled my phone out like my old mount does. Hence, I am giving this product 5 stars!!!Please note that not all car types’ fit this mount though. I know for fact that my gf’s Mercedes AC duct, which is round, won’t work as well as my Lexus.

clamped to a vent it shakes and falls off, I cut the clamp off and glued to dash works great like that.

Although I have no complaints with the product itself I thought it was made very well and seems like it will last a while however my 2006 Scion xB does not have proper ventilation system or anything on the dashboard that the clip will harness on to so unfortunately it looks as if I may not be able to use this device. Since it was around $10 I'm not going through the trouble of returning it I am just going to find someone else to give it to

Had to send it back. It would not hold phone without moving around.

I carry a Moto G Power which is one of the heavier phones and I live out in the county with dirt roads so the phone gets lots of bouncing. Had tried several other brands but none secured the phone as well as this. Have not had the phone fall once since installing this product.
