I suffer with Trigeminal Nerve Neuralgia. I had brain surgery to treat this disorder which was a success but I have my good days and my bad days with respect to break threw pain which is treated with medication. I used to try acupuncture and I had some success before brain surgery but the pain relief would only last for a few hours. Just for grins I thought I would see what Amazon offered for an acupuncture alternative. I discovered this pen. I read the reviews and decided to try it out. What I like about this pen at first was the reviews and then upon further investigation is it is an unusual gadget that looks odd - they had to put some money into the manufacture of this pen because of the add looking parts and appendages that make up this ugly duckling design and I think it would not be the cheapest to manufacture - I guess the company focused on functionality and not its classy looks for sales. My idea was to supplement the medication with this pen and see if I could get by longer in-between my meds. I believe I have and I am very excited about this. I always wanted the acupuncture guy to stick his needles where I felt the nerve pain put he followed his acupuncture charts. I don't follow the acupuncture charts using this pen or the audio signal that comes with the pen. I for the first time am free to precisely target the nerve areas where I feel the nerve pain the most using this pen. I am not naïve. I am not putting all my eggs in one basket with this pen but I am very encouraged by the results of how his pen seems to quiet down the intensity of the brake threw pain. No, I am not stupid - I do not dare stop taking the medication. However, this much I know - I am more relaxed now and I can take that to the bank or let me put it this way I really like the absence of the intensity of the pain and it is easier to ignore the back ground pain. The acid test for me is the frequency in-between when I need to take the nerve medication which is what I care about. If this pen is a joke then it's acting as a placebo and I will take that too to the bank and the seller can have a good laugh as they walk to the bank - then so be it. I don't think so. The reviews do not indicate that and I am one who will use this pen every day just the way I want too that the acupuncture guy was too timid to do with all his needles. When this pen goes I'll order another one. It has become a faithful and joyful companion and supplement to my pain management not a replacement.

I've had the Electro Acupuncture Device for a little over three months and already the wire at the end of the conductive bar has almost completely pulled out of the sleeve. Bare wire shows and I doubt the unit will stay intact much longer.One would think the unit would have been sturdier knowing the unit would be used frequently. My time slot to return the unit to Amazon has passed. If Luxxis won't replace the conductive bar, I'll repost with an awful rating.

The little I tried to use it, though it is, as others have commented very cumbersome to use, it seems to have helped quite a bit. Does what it is supposed to do, just don't know how to use it! Please respond.

My husband has moderate stenosis of the spine and riding a four-wheeler aggravated the condition. Pain medicines and muscle relaxers didn't do much as it was nerve pain. The day I got this pen (recommended by his doctor) he was almost in tears from the pain, despite keeping it iced most of the day. I used this on him that night and the next morning he could move his arm. I continued to use it for 3 more days until he was totally pain free. What a wonderful alternative to popping pills.

I bought it to use it during a medical mission trip to the indigenous communities in Colombia. So far it is working super good. Great product for pain management. Nice storage case and easy enough to use. Appears very well made. Setting variability is very helpful. I did not get the e-book which I understand from Q&A's is e-mailed after you get the product. If you can send me that I would appreciate it. I would recommend this product.

I have had this for around 3 days now. I bought this because I have been manually treating myofascial trigger points mostly from a car accident that left me with almost daily migraines and vertigo/ limited movement in neck and weakness of the limbs. I saw a chiropractors video on YouTube when he stated you can blast away 10-200 trigger points in 1 session and he had a patient he was treating for migraines and showing her and her boyfriend how to treat at home it was a more expensive brand but the exact same tool. This one had the best rating customer service wise and cost less then a one time professional treatment. I figured what the heck. I had a migraine as usual so I treated my know trigger points that refferal pain. I got very dizzy i felt like passing out after the first few minutes but I felt so much better migraine wise. I have been using it DAILY I have found some other very painful trigger points I am trying to work out that I can hardly take using it on. My biggest issue is I find the pen to be a bit hard to hold and it will shock the hand holding it. I have been trying various ways to hold it and avoid this. Biggest issue is I really need this for my back and it is nearly impossible to treat my back myself. I will try to update in a few weeks to a month is I see/feel any major changes.
