Thorn Anti-Rattle Lockable Hold Down Clamp Latch Marine Stainless Steel (2 PCS)

These replaced the 50+ year old latches on my sailboat; the holes lined up close enough, and the quality of these seems better than the plated items that were on the boat. They were well packaged with a really nice shine.However; I took off 1 star because the hole for a lock or pin to hold the latch down is machined terribly on both my latches. It is slightly larger than 1/4" on one side, but tapers down to nearly 1/8" on the other side. From what I've seen, most people use small luggage locks on these types of latches and wouldn't notice this problem. However, I like to use quick-release pins, because I don't store anything of value in these lockers. I can drill these holes out, but it's still annoying.

Looks good installed. Does not stay latched,so I have to keep a clip in it to keep it latched. It could be my installation, not sure. But works well and looks good.

Love these latches! Snaps down great and holds the lids closed very well. Wish I got them a long time ago
