The Hardy Boys and the Case of the Spigen iPhone 6 Neohybrid EX Case
I was in the market for an iPhone 6 bumper case that would:1. not cover the rear of the iPhone, meaning a true bumper that would only cover the sides. I came across many bumper cases that also covered the rear of the iPhone, usually with clear plastic and a cutout for the camera area.2. not be too bulky. Part of the beauty of the iPhone is its slimness. A case detracts from that, but because I am a klutz, having one is mandatory.I ended up purchasing the metal version of the Spigen Neo Hybrid EX. The plastic version has more color choices, but as mentioned, I am a klutz, and scuffed up plastic just doesn't look as good as scuffed up metal. There are two components to this case, the outer metal bumper, and an inner rubber ring that gives the metal bumper a snug fit as well as drop shock protection for the phone. The inner rubber ring also has lips that the phone rests on when placed face up or face down, with lip height being just enough for the rear camera to not get touched when placed down on surfaces.I've seen some bumpers that use a latching mechanism to allow the case to be slipped on the phone, but the Spigen Neo Hybrid EX is a solid metal piece. You first slip the rubber ring onto the phone and then press the metal bumper over that. It takes a wee bit of force to get the metal piece around the rubber. The metal gets perilously thin around the Do Not Disturb switch, and some people have complained about breakage happening there in both the plastic and metal versions. I could see this happening depending on how often you remove and reinstall the bumper and how much flex your case experiences in daily use.Overall, I am happy with this case. I have the red one, and it looks very beautiful. The fit and finish are excellent. There are metal overlays for the power and volume buttons, and they have a very good tactile feel and response.A few things do bother me though. First, the case has an opening for the headphone jack that is very small. I've tried numerous different sets of headphones and earbuds, and the general pattern seems to be that older models will not fit. Apple earbuds will work.Secondly, you need skinny fingers to access the Do Not Disturb switch. The thickness of the rubber ring and the metal case now mean you have to dig in a bit to reach the exposed switch. Both of the above mentioned issues are pretty much due to the physical limitations of what any case can do. A bigger opening for the headphone jack would have required a bigger case as there isn't a whole lot of material in that area to begin with. Easier access to the Do Not Disturb Switch would have required a thinner case, meaning the metal or plastic in that area would have been weaker and even more likely to break.Lastly, I believe this bumper does cause a small amount of wi-fi interference. I don't have any hard numbers to prove this, but it seems that places where I used to get a solid three curves of wi-fi now flicker between two and three. I haven't been as vigilant to monitor cell reception to see if there is a similar pattern for that.I had mentioned I wanted a bumper that would not be too bulky. This bumper definitely adds some size to the phone. I had looked into finding the most minimalistic case possible, but the tradeoff would have been aesthetics and the amount of protection provided. The Spigen Neo Hybrid EX metal is in my opinion the best intersection of those three attributes.Update 10/27/15 - I have now had the case for some 9 months. I can definitely confirm that the case causes reduced wi-fi reception. When I am at work, I will typically take the metal band off and just leave the rubber ring on, giving me much better reception. Also, the machining of the metal leaves some sharp edges. particularly at the opening where the charge cable would be inserted. When holding the phone with one hand, I typically place my pinky on said opening to provide additional support. With some of the weight of the phone resting on my pinky, I feel the sharp edges pressing into my skin in an uncomfortable way.Lastly, there are two clear pre-cut plastic sheets provided to protect the screen and back of the phone. Properly placing them on the phone was nearly impossible, but I imagine that is a problem with many such sheets.Overall this phone has done a great job of protection. I dropped the phone from about four feet up onto a concrete floor and other than some scuffing on the case, nothing was damaged. However, if I were to buy another case, I would probably buy the plastic version of this same case.

As long as you have a long fingernail, this case is slick and effective.
Ordering this item was super-confusing for me. I watched a video review (don't recall which one) which led me to believe that this was a full rubber shell for the back and sides, that would then be held in place by the aluminum frame. To that end, I also ordered a Spigen iPhone 6 Screen Protector. When it all arrived, it turns out that this Aluminum Bumper Neo Hybrid EX case did not include a rubber back, but did include screen protectors for both the back and the front. Okay, I realized, this is probably better anyway, because now my pretty gold back surface will still show. So I used the back screen from this kit, but for the front I used the Spigen Glastr 9H slim. As for this case itself, it looks nice and feels good in the hand and provides a rubber frame on both the front and back, which is useful for keeping the phone from sliding off a slippery surface. The volume control and power button overlays work very well, but as others have noted, the silence toggle switch is VERY difficult to access. Like, honestly, folks, when you clip your fingernails, be sure to leave at least one of them kinda long, because you'll need it to be able to dig into that recess and silence your phone! Other than that, so far I'm quite pleased. The aluminum frame feels good in your hand, especially when you hold the phone up to your ear to speak into it. (Because, let's face it, holding up an un-cased iPhone to one's ear to speak into it as a phone really doesn't work very well; there's not enough "there" there to hold onto, know what I mean?) And, at the end of the day, I'm just glad I have what appears to be excellent protection from shocks and drops, because I just spent $109 under Apple Care to replace my month-old iPhone 6 after dropping it onto a concrete curb.

Premium Metal Bumper
This case is very for iPhone 6 users who want a minimalist bumper that is ACTUALLY METAL. The bumper has a good finish and feels nice in the hand. I like the surrounding etching that complements my Space Grey iPhone 6 (I always receive complements about the "classiness" the bumper adds to my phone).Pros:*Easy to assemble and fits snug*TPU inner bumper offers a lip that surrounds front and back of my phone*Packaging includes screen protectors for both front and back of the phone (I personally use the bumper without any screen protectors and love this bumper because I can feel the back of my iPhone and appreciate its aesthetics)Cons:*Aluminum band deforms very easily*Back TPU "Spigen" logo detracts from premium feelAfter a minor drop I had (less than 1 foot), the left side of the bumper with volume buttons started to loosen. The aluminum band still fits relatively snug but not 100% (it deformed a bit on the left side that received most impact) and my phone is still fine after the drop. If you plan to take off the bumper often (maybe if you like to switch cases) Otherwise, this is a great product for iPhone owners that want a minimal bumper that feels nice and makes the iPhone 6 look nice.Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a classy bumper to add grip to their iPhone 6. I only gave this 4 stars because the Spigen logo on the back makes the bumper feel a bit weird in the hands. The Spigen logo can be printed on the bottom left of the bumper instead of the chunk it is on the TPU right now.

Looks very nice and feels very good
This is my 6th iPhone 6 case I've bought and this is the one that I will be using from now on till the iPhone 7 comes out. It is priced the cheapest I've found online and with free shipping too.The case looks and feel very good. Problem with the case is that once you put it on, it will be very hard to take off. I've tried to take it off and feel I might damage my iPhone some how. I got some signal decrease with the case on but not to the point that I would stop using it. I'm sitting in the same spot most of the day and with the case off, my signal is between -82dBm to -89dBm. With the case on it's -92dBm to -102dBm. -50dBm is perfect signal and -120dBm is no signal. Because of the signal decrease comes decrease in battery life also. I used to be able used the phone all day and still have about 20% left by bed time (12am) but now I reach 20% in the evening (6pm-7pm).Overall this is a very nice metal bumper case for the price but only if you don't mind the decrease in signal and battery life.

I've bought Spigen cases for previous iPhones and the quality has always been excellent! This Spigen Hybrid Neo Metal case is no different! The case fits perfectly with no gaps and almost feels part of the phone. In fact it is really difficult to remove/refit but once it's on there's not really any reason to remove it. The case comes with a front and back screen protector as well so for price it's actually really good value! Now the reason I've given this 4 stars and not 5 is because I dropped my phone from about 6" onto a wooden desk at work. It landed on the corned and the case has totally deformed. It still functions, but I thought it would have been a bit more robust for the price. It's also really hard if you have short nails to get to the mute button.

Excellent all around.
Great looking bumper case. Fit the 6+ easily and states securely in place. Buttons all work smoothly. The metal band feels great in your hand and adds some grip to an otherwise slippery device. Raised bumper keeps phone from touching back and screen when set down.I strongly disagree with all the comments that the vibrate switch is impossible to reach. I have no fingernails and relatively large hands and I can activate it even with my thumb and not even using the nail. The bumper has to add some thickness or it wouldn't protect the phone, but it is minimal. Not sure what people expect, likely just like to nit-pick.I wish they offered a version with a clear back bonded to the rubber bumper but the stick on plastic film for back protection does an adequate job.I added a Gorilla Glass screen protector for added front side protection and there is plenty of room for it and the bumper case.Don't hesitate to buy this if a bumper case is what you want.

Aesthetically appealing.....!!
Timely delivery. Authentic product. I've used other spigen cases in the past and it's definitely the most appealing case.PRO 1. Completely protected corners, can withstand occasional falls quite well 2. Raised lips protect the screen(even with thin tempered glass). 3. Raise lips on the back protect the protruding camera ring. 4. Metal surface with protruding thin front and back lips make it quite grippy.CONS. 1. Very difficult to apply, metal gives no bend. I had to remove it once to apply tempered glass for back and it had an ever so slight bend near volume button, although it is not apparent until looked very closely. 2. Not as safe as an armor case, but that is obvious, advisable to be used with tempered glass for front and back.
