Exceptional musicality and soundstage
I purchased this cartridge to mate with my Fluance RT-85 and Bryston 1B-mc preamp (the mc designation meaning moving coil phono stage. After setting up the tracking/counter weight and aligning the cartridge, I played my standard test pieces:An Actors Life - Dave GrusinPictures at an Exibition (Mussorgsky) -Cleveland Philarmonic Orchestra1812 Overture (Tchaikovsky) - Cincinnati Philharmonic Orchestra. All three pieces have an explosive dynamic range, broad expansive soundstage, and tight performances from the artists.Prior to the Hana, my reference MM cartridge was a Grado Blue. It still is an exceptional cartridge that I use on my JVC QL-A2.

Excellent
These moving coil cartridges are mislabeled. I ordered an EL (low output, more expensive unit) only to receive an EH cartridge type. All worked fine. I requested a replacement..The replacement arrived. This time the EL model. Installed into headshell and aligned it.It works like charm. Bass is very strong, and sound definition is excellent. Thank you Amazon.

Sound Quality
I have 2 TT Technics,I just upgrade one with the HANA EL series Low output moving coil cart, set my Amp/Preamp to MC Low and the difference is amazing!!..Usually I use Ortofon Black MM high output cart (one great cart by the way) but HANA is a differnt level, the lows and highs are amazing!

Neutral, but sibilant and noisy
Switching to headphones for vinyl listening exposed a lot of equipment I owned and trialed, the one constant being the turntable and professionally installed Hana EL. After finding a low-noise, properly filtered phono preamp, it seemed like the Hana was now the bottleneck in system enjoyment.Cartridge is neutral and never had tracking issues, but was often sibilant and seemed overwhelmed at times with a high noise floor.I switched to the AT33PTG/II recently and each of the complaints above are gone/diminished. Records that were always sibilant no longer so, no sense of the cartridge being overwhelmed, and a noticably lower noise floor. All day, everyday, I would recommend that one saves a little more to purchase the better measuring, longer lasting AT33PTG/II.

You need the right cartridge for your tonearm
I replaced my DL103-R with the Hana when upon some research I discovered that the Denon prefers a heavier arm for it to work at its best. The Hana in contrast works well in lighter tonearms due to its construction and eliptical stylus. The swap to the Hana EL has been a revelation. There's a much better soundstage and enhanced detail. I also found a better, deeper bass than I was getting previously. Please don't misunderstand: The Denon is a fine cartridge in its own right. But putting the Hana EL in its place in my vintage Rabco has made a world of difference. If you have a lighter tonearm, I really recommend you give this a listen.

Best value in Audio
The EL is the best cartridge I’ve had under $1000. Once you dial in set up, sit back and enjoy.

PAIRED WITH RT85 and HEED QUASAR for sonic Enlightenment
I just purchased this cartridge for my RT85 I was worried about the VTA since the cartridge is 15mm and the RT 85 fluence is set for Ortofon blue at 18mm. I found a spacer or shiv set on eBay for 20 bucks or so you can adjust the VTA and just make the cartridge a bit bigger let me tell you folks have a golden goose of a combo! You need a decent PHONO like the VINCENT set up for MC or a HEED QUASAR or something in the 600 to 1300 range then dial it in for PHONO at 220 uV sensitivity for HEED QUASAR and 470 ohms and then you are in business all four jumpers switch to MC and use the low output RCA out to say a rogue sphinx and you have one hell of a system. This little cartridge is a darling and will blow just about anything out of the water with the lush midrange and deep base response. You will be blown away.
