Dometic was great in telling me what motor kit I needed. Both of my old components were bad so I was really happy I got the right motor and start capacitor all in one kit the first time. Happy! :)

This is the exact kit we needed for the A/C in our motorhome.

I purchased this replacement kit to replace the motor in my Dometic Penguin I. While this is the kit specified by Dometic as a replacement for that unit, this is not a drop in replacement. The motor mounts do not match the original. The universal mounts can't be fitted without substantially modifying the AC unit which would require the unit be completely disassembled, uninstalled, modified and reinstalled. When received, the box had been taped together as it was split on one corner. The motor was missing two of the four mounting bolts to even be able to affix the provided mounts to the unit. Since these bolts are preinstalled from inside the motor housing a solution would need to be engineered. Given the cost of the motor and the time required to engineer a solution to the missing parts I've chosen to return it and buy a used AC unit.
