THis fit my 2008 Aluminum body Macbook without issue. When I got the laptop recently the battery in it was not very good. I figured since I was resurrecting the older macbook to use for my online purposes, I needed a new battery, but I didnt want to spend a fortune. so I bought this based on other reviews. I have not had a chance to fully see how long the battery lasts as I typically use the laptop on battery not very often, but so far it has worked well. no Operating system errors with detecting the battery.Time will tell how this will work but for now it appeared to be working without issue.

Bought this as an insurance policy for my aged Mac book. Although not oem, shipped quickly, fits perfectly, charged up no problem, great price. Have yet to use it for long periods so can't comment on longevity and life.

i chose this battery based on the many positive reviews. i know it's always a bit of crapshoot. so, it worked fine for the first month, and then... started dying overnight, and it said replace soon, now it says replace now. it doesn't charge at all. i'm happy to get a replacement, but it's a bit of a hassle since i'm traveling overseas. so, i have to manage with this bad battery for weeks more... until i get back to the US to get a replacement. i hope they'll make that easy. meanwhile, my computer has to be plugged in at all times. help!

I bought this in May 2019 (it's now May 2021). I think it held a charge for about 4 hours back then. I remember not being real impressed with that. But 2 years later and 251 charge cycles later, it still holds a charge for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.Some people mentioned that after installing this battery their macbook would say to replace the battery. Mine did, too. But since the battery was working fine, I kept it. UPDATE: Downgraded from 5 to 3 stars after a few days of usage because it went into "Condition: Replace Now" mode on battery status. It's functioning, so it's still at least 3 stars. If it runs fine for at least a 100 cycles, it will get another star as a reward. Holds a decent amount of charge, but it would be in the average category (somewhere in the middle from an excellent to the worst. This is neither).Even though I've only had a few cycle count runs, this is a real good value for money and works very well as an apple alternative since they stopped making this battery anyway. So far I'm impressed with it. Let's see how long it sustains. Usually the trouble occurs at a higher cycle count (of charges) so in case that happens, I'll downgrade this review. However, considering the low price, it's actually a really good one. As of today, it is five stars.

I'm just glad these batteries are still around considering my Mac is 10 years old. Like most laptop batteries, if you keep your brightness at a reasonable level, you'll get a good couple of hours (or more) out of this battery. I bought a 2nd one for back up.

I don't know what happened but I tested the battery and was perfect but I stopped using my Macbook for a couple of months (its an old one) when I tried to charge it again it was completely dead.

Good batteries usually come ready to go, but you have to charge them up the first time before use. Not so with the Edofiy battery I recently received. Not only is it a fine product that has performed admirably, but I just opened the box, dropped in the battery, closed my MacBook case and began power using my device for hours. This procedure is probably not recommended, but I'm not usually one to follow recommendations when it comes to thoroughly testing the performance and durability of the products I use and recommend. And...I can, unabashedly recommend the purchase of any Edofiy product based upon my experience of my initial purchase.
