1960s - 70s Craftsman 10-inch 113 series FLEX CABLE DIRVE table saw.Replaced the 1 1/16th HP motor with this 1 ½ HP motor.Both motors are 3450 RPMs.With the extra HP there is more torque.Model number in description was different than model number on motor shown. Also, model number of motor delivered was different than both of those. Being as how it was 1 ½ HP with CCW rotation, I went ahead and kept it.Made a bushing for the end of the flex cable to fit into on the end of the motor over shaft.The motor mounted onto the old mounting brackets with no problem.Added another bolt on mounting bracket at saw housing because of the extra weight of the new motor.When wiring, unlike others, wire for a CCW rotation as per instructions located on motor.At this time, I’m very happy with this motor and would buy again. It is a little noisier than my other, but it has more HP so maybe that’s way. When turning off, it stops faster also. Will update if anything changes.NOTE: This would be a good time to lubricate the flex cable if you haven’t done before. Follow instructions in manual. Make sure you reinstall cable twisting in correct direction (cable is a twist cable like in the old speedometer cables, twisted wire with square ends).UPDATE-Today I finally got into cutting some 1 3/4" thick poplar wood. It was like night and day. My old motor I would have to push slow or cut only half the height and make second pass. This motor, I just pushed, it was like cutting butter. Never slowed down.

I bought a 2hp (maybe a bit overkill? The old one was 2hp so that is what I bought. Thing is big..50 lbs maybe! Two things tho: The China people see the rotation from the pulley veiw, whereas we here in the states veiw from the back.....minor thing. Also, I read the comments on this motor and a lot of folks were complaining about the phoney knock outs on the recipticle box saying that ya have to drilll them out. That's not true. Just use a little more umph and they knock right out. They aren't threaded tho, so ya have to use a strain relief with a nut behind in the box. Motor runs just fine with lots of power; dont know how long it will last.... At this point tho, I would buy again, however.

when I ordered this motor, I was told I would not receive it until Dec. 7-10. but it only took three days.which is great because I am working on a project that I need to finish soon.wiring was easy instructions were very clear. hooked up to my craftsman contractor table saw model #315-228-390 perfectly. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't used it yet.I will update this review after using it for awhile hoping there will be no problems.After hooking it all up, I ran it and it was very smooth and has much more power than the old one.

Good strong motor replacement for my 0ld craftsman table saw.

The 1 HP motor on my Craftsman Table Saw failed. This is an excellent replacement. It's even an upgrade at a good price.

Put it on my 40 year old craftsman 10inch table saw. Saw runs smooth and more power .

I purchased this motor at the end of 2021. It worked until recently when it developed a short and tripped the circuit breaker when the motor was turned on. The return date was passed and I could not return it to Amazon. I contacted the company directly and after several weeks of emails back and forth I was sent a replacement motor. The new motor is installed and I hope it will last. Nice to have decent customer in this day and age.
