Great Casual MMO Game!
I highly recommend this game. I come from a WoW background and Guild in comparison Guild Wars 2 is very casual friendly with horizontal progression rather than the vertical progression that is common in most MMOs. This means that if you have a busy life and are unable to play every day or for periods of time then your achievements and gear in the game will still be current and relevant when you return to the game.Installation was easy from the Guild Wars website. This product is only a license code and Amazon tells you where to enter the code once you download the game. Once the code is entered the game is unlocked and you are free to play.

Amazing game, and convenient digital distribution!
I am probably something of a unicorn among reviewers in that I have no prior experience of the game... I bought this and HoT together as part of an after-Christmas spending spree with a gift card I was given, purely because I liked the fact that some developers still believe in the traditional model, even for an MMO. The fact that I could pay for these games once, and that they were mine for the life-cycle of the game, really appealed to me.Now that I have actually done some playing, I have even more good things to say. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how this game didn't become the WoW-killer. The gameplay, the sound, the story, and the world all feel much more satisfying to me than they have in any other MMO I have ever played (and I have more than a dozen major titles, old and new, under my belt). One of the main differences is the questing system. Rather than talking to some guy with an exclamation point over his head, running out to collect 20 bear asses, and coming back for some piddling coin and EXP, GW2 gives you missions that feel meaningful, with real dialogue between your character and the NPCs. In addition, there are a lot of side-events in each region that you can participate in when they are active for extra rewards that actually scale based on how actively you participated. There are also a lot of innovations that I have not seen elsewhere. For instance, the Guardian class (think a more equal blend between a warrior and a cleric than traditional paladin in other games provides) gets completely different abilities based upon the class of weapon that they have equipped. So a sword-wielding Guardian and a mace-wielding Guardian will play drastically differently from one another, and from all other differently-armed Guardians.Aside from the perks of the game itself, there was also the simplicity of the purchase experience. Immediately after purchase, a digital code was delivered which I was able to plug in to the website to unlock the content on my account, easy-peasy. It wasn't QUITE as streamlined as, say, a Steam installation... but it was really close. At no point was I confused about how to claim my in-game goodies (speaking of, this package comes with some additional perks above and beyond those offered with the standard game purchase).Awesome experience overall; highly recommend it.

I am happy I chose the digital deluxe and supported the entire ...
I think I am a couple hundred hours in and this game has been well worth it. I am happy I chose the digital deluxe and supported the entire dev team (hopefully). A little background, I purchased GW2 when it first came out- it showed promise but I never ended up finding time for it. I purchased this and Heart of Thorns together. Overall, starting a new account and coming back to the game, I have been pleased. There also have been times at level 80 (current cap) that have been frustrating, and made me question my purchase. While you may need two monitors to tab to the wiki frequently, the rewards from whatever task you choose, are well worth it. The community to this point has been good, I am in no major guild, however I often find myself being assisted by strangers or vice versa. While the game can be confusing at first, it is a great atmosphere and the learning has been fun.The storyline is pretty well done, although it can get redundant- it's definitely better than the first go around. Also I have not played the majority of the storylines, only the main (1-80 Sylvari) and the Path of Fire at this point. There are other races and plenty of other storylines, side quests, events, festivals, ect.5/5 would do it again.

If only I had more time to play
The beautiful thing about Guild Wars (besides graphics, gameplay, progression arcs, satisfying leveling, etc) is it's respectful to your time and money. You buy once (well, and then each expansion) and you're good. No monthly fee and no expectation to put in 1000 hours per month. I'll play when I want. It's very forgiving to solo players (although its greater rewards are reserved for people who play well with others) so I can jump on for an hour after my daughter goes to bed and before my wife gets home from work and get some exploring in.This expansion is solid. It adds some new game play elements while returning to a slightly more satisfying (for solo players) quest structure rather than the map-wide battle events of Heart of Thorns.

Great game!
This game is amazing. Not only does it have an amazing story but there is tons of end game fun. Between raids, fractals, jumping puzzles, pvp, and a constant ever progressing story you can truly get lost in this world. The biggest positive to the game is that both the game and its comunity are very inclusive. Right from level one you can make the game your own and play how you want to. This game is also friendly to the more casual player. This truly thr best mmorpg on the market.

Fun, enjoyable, worth it
For $15 this expansion is definitely worth every cent. I am nowhere near finished with all the content it offers, however I have been playing it for hours since purchasing it.I am a returning GW2 player and have not played for around 2-3 years. Path of Fire almost feels like leveling up my first character for the first time. The expansion comes with a lvl 80 boost to any character; You are able to preview your character at lvl 80 before fully commiting to the boost. Even though you can instanly lvl up to 80, the expansion inteoduces another leveling system or ranking; A mastery level which I believe goes up to lvl 250. The new mounts, story and events and map areas really show actual effort and work was put into it.
