This Works!
I am on the fourth (and final) section of this Hip and Knee series video. I like it so much more than physical therapy, and I'm so pleased with how much better I'm doing! When I was on the 2nd section of this video series, I stopped doing physical therapy for 4 weeks whilst doing these video exercises. I went back to physical therapy after those 4 weeks just to say thanks for the help and to discontinue. The physical therapist expected me to be nearly starting over again, but was surprised to find that I had progressed dramatically! I told them thanks for everything (and in my mind, I was thanking the Lord that I found the Hip and Knee series.) Hiking in the mountains will actually be an option for me, thanks to this video series!

Pretty decent program
You have to really want to do the activities on this CD, otherwise, you will be soooooo boooored. Kind of a sterile environment, no music or anything except his voice.

A great tool for knee rehab
I bought this dvd as I was preparing for knee replacement surgery. It really helped me. The exercises are simple to follow, you don't need a lot of equipment, and the dvd is divided into levels, so you can do more difficult exercises as you progress, or back down to the first level of you are having a painful day. I continue to use the dvd now that I have had surgery and my PT is complete, and it helps me retain and continue to improve my flexibility in both knees. I highly recommend it.

Very sensible exercises
I viewed this DVD prior to actually doing it. This was helpful because I knew what to expect, and was ready with several items that you will need, such as an exercise mat, strap or towel and a chair. I found the pace was great, relaxing and slow. The exercises were explained and demonstrated. I walk about 20 miles a week so I purchased this DVD to help balance and stretch those muscles used in walking. Being over 60, it is important to work on balance and stretching as you age. While this DVD can serve anyone, I think it addresses many issues that you have as you age. I will be doing this DVD at lease 3 - 4 times a week. I also liked the fact that because it is stretching and balance exercises you don't really tax yourself too much, and can do it later in the day if you want. Well done.

Not really user friendly
Well...the trainer who is doing the instructions seems like he is rushing through the workout. In fact it seems more like an instructional video rather than one that is easy to follow along. It could be because the man showing the actual exercises isn’t in any pain and in physically perfect condition. Which is not what the viewer, me or others, may be feeling, that’s why we purchased the video. The sequence of exercises doesn’t seem to be thought out very well. Especially if you are in pain or creaky, it’s not easy to do an exercise on your back then flip over for another exercise, then stand and then lay down again...in a span of three minutes. By the time I was getting into place the exercise was 1/2 done. Also get yourself an exercise strap as opposed to using the towel to hold onto for some of the stretches. My one hand couldn’t hold both ends of the towel while stretching.I’ve only done one section so I can’t properly say whether I’m in less pain but I was frustrated enough to write a review. One last thing, the instructor used proper names of the muscles. That’s great if you know what muscle he is talking about but it would’ve been more informative to have heard “you should feel a stretch in the front of your thigh.”On the plus- the dudes seem friendly enough. If they were actually in my living room I would tell them to slow down and they seem like they would listen.

Helping me recover from injury
I'm in my 60's and bought this to recover from a knee injury. An MRI revealed tears in three places on my knee. Level 3 of this workout included moves I knew I shouldn't do, so I'm staying with level 2. After a few months of doing this workout 3 times a week, my knee no longer hurts and is getting stronger. I'm very happy with this product.
