January 23, 2020So far so good. I put them in water several days ago at 6 am . First photo is 7pm the same day, already little nubbies! The next picture is 7 days later! Seriously, dont buy these until you're ready for them.Update June 2, 2020See photos, the tallest ones are up to about 30"-32". We had a pretty heavy snow storm over the winter and I had them sitting outside in pitchers of water... out of the 20, I still have 14. Some died because the dogs got to them, others just werent doing too great. I have several in one pot to help them get their roots up to par before I put them in they're permanent containers... I live in a neighborhood. WILLOWS WILL GO AFTER YOUR WATER LINES! If you dont live in the country, I highly suggest putting them in pots. They must be atleast 50 feet from water lines and houses. Save yourself the plumbing damage. I soak them daily and keep the soil moist at all times.Update July 1, 2020Just transplanted the 14 trees into 7 tubs. I need them for privacy and adding some green to the yard. I expect them to go into shock. Yellowing and crispy leaves. But they should be OK. If you're thinking of getting these, I hope my review updates help you to know what to expect.Update August 3, 2020Welcome back! For this months update, the trees are loving their own space and they had just a smidge of shock after the move. A few lost leaves, but for the most part, all is well. The red and black markings are exactly one week apart. So you can see that they are growing so fast! I'm 5' 3", and two are already taller than me. I cut some of the suckers from the bottom to help transfer energy to the already established branches, im hoping these will fill out and start blocking out neighbors. We have had some hot weather (high 90s, to triple digits) and they are doing well in the heat. I have had some critter problems, but I spray them once a day with a safe repellent. Till next month, hope this helps!Update Sept 6For this months update, I think the photos speak for themselves. My best tree is measuring at about 9 feet, two are roughly 6 feet, and the other four are still trying to find their bearings, i havent seen too much movement with them yet. Im in Southern California and we've been in the triple digits for several weeks now. They have just flourished in this weather, and im watering them in the evenings everyday. 👍Update June 13, 20213 out of the 4 trees are over 10 feet tall. These guys are doing great! 👏Update August 1, 2021My dudes are still growing strong, however here in Southern California, we've had a pretty hot summer, average day is mid to high 90s. and I think these guys are feeling it. I had a lot of leaves fall off, and I think it was due to lack of water. I upped the watering to morning and evening, and I'm starting to see buds again. These guys like their moisture!

Amazing growth.
Update at 12 months after receiving order:Pictures 3 and 4 were taken about a month ago and those trees are currently about seven feet tall. During this past month all of my trees have added at least another two feet in height. My objective is to create a living fence, so when several of the larger trees reached 12 to 14 feet tall, I cut about 3 feet off of the tops. The lower branches are filling in and just starting to create a privacy fence. The trees in the pots are growing the fastest, but they will get planted in the ground during the next couple of weeks. My recommendation is: water, water, water.Update 9 months after receiving order:All of the Willow trees survived the winter, including what has been a brutal summer. Each tree has hundreds of healthy looking leaves. My shortest tree is now at knee level, but most of the trees are at around waist level. The tallest trees are the ones that I haven't planted in the ground yet. They are growing in 10 gallon pots. Those 4 trees are way over my head in height, and I estimate them to be around 8 feet tall.As the days started getting longer, warmer and drier, I began watering the willows everyday. I also give them a good drink of Miracle Grow about every 10 days.I think it took part of the summer growing season for the roots to get established, but once they started growing, they really took off.My fastest growing trees are gaining about an inch of height every day.I hope to update in another few months before the trees go dormant for the winter.I received these just over a month ago. Stems were placed in 4 inches of water for 3 days, and then transferred into pots. It's the 3rd week of October and they are doing great. Yesterday I planted half of them in the ground and I will leave the other 6 plants in pots over the winter. I'm in zone 8b.

Twigs In Water Is All I’ve Gotten From This…
to start off, I will definitely have to pay better attention to my middle of the night purchases! I searched for bamboo, as that is what I wanted but while skimming the star review numbers, this option showed in the feed. with such great reviews, I made the purchase and my package arrived, expeditiously — with no damage to the treelings (as we were still in 110 degree weather). I read all of the literature provided as well, scanned the QR code provided with the literature (this is when I discovered I had not purchased bamboo, nonetheless, these willows I received were shown to provide privacy and shade which is what I wanted). I followed the instructions, placing them in water and … they never rooted. two started shooting thorn-like sprouts then nothing.I just ended up with twigs in water! they never went dry nor were they in direct heat or light. even though I purchased outside of what I wanted, I was pretty excited for them to begin sprouting up but that did not happen. I have waited to write this review because I received these September 5th. our weather remained hot and now, on October 30th is flipping to 40 degrees. that said, I considered the timing in which I purchased these to begin planting, why I paused the review. I did buy the 10 set, receiving three extra however, only 7 were healthy size and the others were very thin so I assumed the extra three made up for the tiny 3 of 10.in all ways I dice it, this was not a favorable purchase for me. if between now and, let’s say… next spring, things turn around, I will update my review.

Growing Nicely
Exactly one (1) month from receipt, 7 of the 9 stalks growing with roots and leafs sprouting. Received the damp stalks and immediately placed in water as instructed. I used a glass container so I could clearly see which stalks were sprouting roots. Initially only 3 stalks had enough root structure to plant, then a week later 3 more stalks had adequate roots. Very pleased with the leafs sprouting, am looking forward for these maturing into full growth stalks.
