Mosquito and Gnat Barrier Covers 10,000 Square Feet, 1/2 gallon

Excellent product to reduce gnat population! I live near Washington DC and our neighborhood has a huge gnat problem. We can’t walk through our yards without getting dozens of them swarming our heads. Using BTI dunks in traps, fountains, and gutters didn’t make a difference (although you still 100%). I suspect they are growing eggs in the mulched areas. Either way as adults they exist by the dozens in our regular grass lawn area. Off! yard spray and spectracide yard spray does NOT work, despite the chemicals listing online as gnat killers. It may be the concentration. Anyways this summit product works well with permethrin. After spraying it’s a clear difference. From dozens to 3-4 only flying around as we walk through. It’s a clear and significant knockdown of the gnat population. How long it lasts really depends on the rain and how fast the survivors breed (this is why still use BTI in any breeding water areas). Rain I can’t control, and neighboring yards I also cannot control. Regular rain I’d say it lasts about 3-4 weeks. Heavy flooding rain probably 2-3 weeks. I aim to apply every 2-3. HOWEVER if there’s a really bad infestation after a long period of heavy rain, you might need to spray 2x over a few days to really get the annoying buggers

This is a short term fix. In my case I knew we were going to be having a July 4th barbecue so I sprayed the day before. We were outside for hours, and nobody got bitten at all. Within a few days though the mosquitoes were back which makes sense if you know anything of their life cycle. So for special occasions go for it, for consistent mosquito free grass, you'll have to spray every few days. I just wanted to add that I've discovered that this product is toxic to bees, so if you garden and are trying to attract pollinators, don't just blanket spray. Use judiciously, specifically around bushes and hedges or flower beds that don't attract bees where most of the mosquito hideouts are.

I used it per directions out by my patio so I dont get eaten alive everything I water or take care of my plants. This spray worked for maybe a week and then they started to come back. This paired with these electric torch bug kills did a pretty good job when working together. I did stop using the spray and you can notice a small difference but almost insignificant.

It DID NOT WORK for me! I sprayed it all over front, back and side yards, entryways, windows, plants, etc. and went inside. The next day the mosquitoes were just as bad as before! The gnats were, too! I have tried it 4 times now and the mosquitoes are still there! It doesn't even work for a day! As soon as I step outside the mosquitoes are after me, so I can't do ANYTHING outside without them on me! They are even getting in the house EVERY DAY! I can't escape them and I was really hoping that this stuff would work, but it didn't. I tried several times to contact Summit to get help, but never got a response, so I am now returning the bottle. Don't waste your money! Also, I originally ordered the concentrate formula, but they tried to ship it twice and it was somehow damaged in shipment both times! Now, they won't try to send it again.

We had sod installed in our backyard and along with the sod came gnats. Obviously new sod needs lots of water and the gnats took full advantage of it. We hoped the swarming gnats would eventually die down but didn't. We searched for a solution and came up with a few options. One option was Summit Mosquito & Gnat Barrier and after calling the company and speaking to a live person, decided to give it a go. So far no gnats!!

Works great for repelling mosquitoes and gnats in the garden. Easy to use and a good price.
