Good except sound issues.
Although there are a lot of positive points to be said about this product, a major flaw with it is that - even on low volumes and on songs without much bass - you can hear a bit of distortion, like crackly static, that sounds like a speaker that you're either working too hard or is at the end of its life. This becomes worse as the battery gets low. I consider this issue to be "understandable and sort of acceptable" considering the whole system has to run on battery power and most people aren't expecting high power out of such a setup. They might just have a high-pass crossover set too high to conserve power, and too much is cut off, resulting in messy sound. When you charge your phone with the speaker's battery (which in itself is sort of a nice, if cannibalistic, feature, one that other devices claim even though it is inherent to the device; with this, the USB-A port was added specifically for this purpose), it lowers the volume to level 8 (there is nothing to tell you what level you're at) to keep from draining the battery quickly. Even at this medium level and below, this problem can be recognized. The bike mounts are 4" apart, center to center, so make sure you have room on your bike handlebars if that is your purpose for ordering. Included bike mounts are good. It also comes with a neoprene case, a USB cable, and an audio cable, both red. With all these extras trying to give the appearance of premium, it doesn't actually come with a charger, not that this will be an issue for most people (you probably already have more than you know what to do with). There should be keyhole slots built into the bike mounts so it could also be hung on the wall and removed easily, making it more versatile. The unit pairs easily and immediately with my Blackberry every time, and it can control the tracks through the BT connection as well. It looks well made and has a good feel to it. It looks like it could almost be waterproof, although I noticed no mention or claim of that feature (so I'm sure it's not). The sound overall isn't bad for a low voltage battery operated speaker, as long as you're not sitting down and listening too closely. I guess for the purposes of making noise as you ride around the neighborhood, it'll do just fine.

Nice, durable speaker
Nice, durable speaker. Mounts easily, although, works best with a straight bar. Wish it offered other mounting options. Bass is decent, but don't expect a ton if you're comparing to a regular audio speaker. Fantastic battery life. Easy to pair with Bluetooth iPhone.

Not Recommended
This speaker is OK, but I'm not super excited about it. It is easy to set up and requires very little brain power to connect to your device via bluetooth. The sound quality is pretty good for a small speaker. The biggest problem for me is that it isn't very loud. In fact, my iPhone's internal speaker actually has more volume than this. And since it is designed to be attached to your bike handles for use during your ride, you will not hear much above the whirring of your wheels and the sound of the breeze flowing past your ears. If you think you might use it in the car, the motor sounds will drown it out. And at home, most people have sound options that leave this little thing in the dust. One especially annoying aspect is that it doesn't hold a bluetooth connection very reliably, so that my sound is constantly alternating between the NYNE and my device. Very disconcerting.

Smart design and clear sound
This is a small Bluetooth speaker that can be mounted to handlebars. I have an older Raleigh mountain bike with fairly thick handlebars and I was able to get the clamps around them with a little pressure (it took less than 2 minutes to get it mounted and ready to go). Once the speaker was mounted to the handlebars, it seemed to be stable. I mainly use the mountain bike like a stationary bike since it is on a Kurt Kenetic trainer most of the time, but I wouldn't hesitate taking this speaker on a typical ride on cement (or an easy dirt track). The upside is that I can now be on the bike and not have to worry about fiddling with my iPhone. I can take calls, turn up and down the volume, pause audio and play without taking the phone out of my pocket or a bag. While the speaker is not the last word in high volume or bass, I would not expect it to be. It is small and physics are still at work here. However, what I do expect is clear, undistorted audio and it accomplishes that goal with flying colors. I also want to mention that I had no problems connecting it via Bluetooth to my iPhone. It was immediately "discovered" and connected in seconds. The Bluetooth speaker is also nice for just sitting on a desk. If you put it on its side, it has a very small footprint. Also, it has an aux input, so if you want to just plug an mp3 player into it via the headphone out on the player, you can play audio that way as well. It comes with a red 3.5mm cable to make that an easy process. They also included a red USB cable for plugging it into your own USB power supply Typically, I would knock a star off of a review for not including a power plug, but in this case, I didn't. The main reason is that you can use the power supply that came with your phone to charge the speaker AND your phone. The speaker maker had enough foresight to supply an extra USB port on the speaker that you can plug your phone/mp3 player into to charge. This means you don't need two separate power sockets because one socket can effectively charge both devices. The speaker also came with a pouch for storage which is a great idea. I plan to throw this thing in a suitcase when I go out of town and like the extra protection. All in all, this speaker performed every task I expected and threw in a couple "extras" (like the extra USB port and pouch) that made me happy about the device.

Super Sound, einfache Bedienung
