2 x ChickenPicks Badazz III 2.0 mm guitar picks

Premium quality. Just shy of perfection.
First off, these Chicken Picks are extremely high quality. Manufacturing picks this precisely is a statement of how much the people at Chicken Picks care about making great guitar picks.I've only been using this pick for a short time, but other than some gray marks that the guitar strings leave behind, there are no signs of wear. I get the sense that 20 years from now (assuming I don't lose the pick by then) this pick will be exactly the same as it is today.I admit that I am a bit of a Jazz III fan boy. The Badazz III is clearly Chicken Picks' nod to the Jazz III, but it is not a replica. The beveled edge is different, and it is a slightly wider shape. The design seems geared more towards progressive and metal players rather than jazz. And of course, it would be right at home with some country chicken pickin.Tonally, the Badazz III is clear and articulate, less on the warm side than the Jazz III, but not as shrill as some other picks of 2mm or more. The attack is not so much chirpy, more like turning a crisp page in a book.Overall, if you like little jazz-style picks, you owe it to yourself to give these a try.

Might have found the holy grail of guitar picks
I have been on the hunt for the "perfect" pick for me and my style, and I believe I may have found it with this pick. I have tried several from Jazz III's to Dunlop Flow's to others in different thicknesses. The edges of this pick are sharp, and I mean sharp, almost like you could cut somebody with it (don't do that). Those razor sharp edges converge to a sharp point, and let me tell you, this things slices through the strings effortlessly. I should mention I am a Metal guitarist, so I use and abuse my picks. I'm writing this review the very first day I reveived it, so I cannot speak to the company's claims of durability. Time will tell if those claims are accurate. Also, the only negative with this pick is the price. Nearly $6.50 per pick is insane, but if they hold up over time and perform like they are my very first time using it, I'll pay that for the performance.

Not for everyone .
They are clumsy on fast picking but very useful for melodic lead players . So they do not suit everyone.I would say if you’re a lead player give them a try but be ready to send them back. But I can definetly see some players loving them but didnt work for me. I a lot of fast picking and arpeggios but I can see blues lead players really loving them.So don’t let my three stars rating deter you - give them a try

Chirp Curer
Not a bad pick to add to my pick bag of tricks. The material is excellent. Hardly any chirp. Nothing worse than spending a lot of money on a boutique pick only to hear that awful chirping when you kick in the OD. And, No, I'm not going to change my technique or eq to fix the chirp problem.Only complaint is the knife-edge point. Ernie Ball also does this with their Prodigy line.It basically takes the thickness of the pick away, making the tone thinner when hitting the strings.I understand the concept is to make the pick attack glide quick against the strings, but it does sacrifice a bit of the body of tone, at least for me. Still, a good pick to have in my bag on gigs.

The ChickenPicks are pretty nice.
I typically use the black Jazz III stiffs. The ChickenPicks are pretty nice...they definitely provide a harder attack, but I don't know that the price is justified, at least for me. I got them, though, so I'll use them. Who knows...I may try some other products.

Good
I've been using Jazz III's since the late '80's, this ChickenPicks Badazz III 2.0 mm is my new favorite pick.(After 2 months of use:)I find I put wear on them just as fast as other materials I've tried. The plus is you can use all 3 corners, but they are 3 times (or more) the cost of others, so cost is a wash. But, I do love the feel and tone.I personally like the grip more with a Monster Grip on the smooth side. (One side is raised lettering, the other side etched-in lettering.)

Made me a believer
Tried out some thick jazz pics and found that I liked them more than your standard guitar pick but didn't like how tiny they were and thought that maybe having a thicker pick to hold onto might work better. Not only is the added thickness of these great, but they're also a touch bigger than a small jazz pick while still being smaller than a standard guitar pick. In other words, they're just right.

I really really love these picks
Honestly, it's probably my favorite and go to guitar pick. Been using for awhile now and it shows no sign of wear. Great pick attack--I'd even say it "improves your tone"--although I know that quite subjective. My only complaints are the price I mean I get that it's super durable and probably won't need to be replaced for a long time, but still. Also, wish they offered other colors.

Best pick out there - believe the hype!
Like many people reading this, I've tried a lot of picks! Each time I tried something new, I kept coming back to my personal favourite Jazz III XL for low string noise, low chirp, tone, feel, size, shape and grip. The most I've paid for a single pick is £6 (more than once) and the least is a multi-pack of Jazz III XL (equivalent price per pick) - everything else has been in-between price wise. I've tried different materials (including wood, nylon, different types of plastic and rubber) shapes, sizes and gauges (Jazz III XL being my favourite for electric guitar) and struggled to find one that worked for me i.e. helped me to play electric guitar naturally and intuitively with my interpretation of good tone. I play various types of medium gain rock and ambient music. The Chicken Pick felt instantly natural and, with no adjustments to my playing style at all, I was able to play everything I normally do with ease - only better control, fuller, brighter tone with noticeably less string drag. I feel this pick makes playing electric guitar more fun for me and makes me want to play more. The standard of my playing has also improved as the pick is so accurate. At higher gain settings, there is more chirp than on my Jazz III XL, but otherwise string noise and chirp is very quiet. Due to the bevelled edges, the part of the pick that makes contact with the string is thinner than the body of the pick, so it doesn't feel in any way cumbersome to someone not used to bigger gauged picks (like me!). The grip is also excellent and I agree with the hype that is results in lower pick-hand fatigue as a result. I also use it for fast strummed funk with a little adjustment in my technique and have no need to change picks for this. Best pick I've tried - highly recommended for all styles of music.

My new favourite
These picks are great, fairly easy to grip, they glide across the strings and sound good. Only dropped a star as they are pretty expensive.

Bright and comfortable
Amazingly bright tone for such a thick pick, comparable to medium nylon picks. Comfortable to hold and play.

Game changer
Really great picks. Not for everyone though. Really bright attack and last for ages

Bright sound. Overpriced
Really bright and chirpy sounding. Not personally a fan of the grip but that's subjective. The bevel seems to stay sharp longer than other picks like EB Prodigy. Overall, not worth the money unless you really like the sound of these.
