Simply Felt: 20 Easy and Elegant Designs in Wool

I looked and looked for a book that would let you felt right from the fleece. This book is pretty simple and lets you just work from fleece with minimal supplies to create felt. Some nice patterns in here too. The containers on the cover are a great pattern and the explanation to create them is one that i did not find on the internet. I specifically purchased this book after seeing some of the silk guaze/ wool felted scarves at a recent craft fair, and I was not disappointed at all! The explanation for how this is done is easy! With some simple household items ( ie. a bar of soap!) you can create some amazing gifts. For those of us who love felt but don't knit that great, and want the quickest and simplest way, this book will make you adept at felting!

Some fun projects

This small book is full of big ideals. Love it .it shows all the felting techniques and is easy to follow for first time filters.The step by step instructions and drawings are very clear and really work.Very happy with my first two projects.

There are several neat projects each with good direction, pictures and details. I recommend finding a place to purchase quality felt or be prepared to make your own. Ugly wool sweaters from the thrift shops have produced some nice wool felt.

I got this for a gift for an artist-friend who does needle-felting. She really liked it. The photos are very well done; the projects look fun and open-ended.

I bought this book with the hope it offered knitting / felting projects. Instead it is a book about taking old sweaters and turning them into felted items. Many knitters, like myself, like to create felt projects from scratch. The felt projects were basic and most creative people would be able to create these without the help of a book.

I got this as a used product and its really good... not the best on the block, but if you can get it for cheap, go for it.

If you are going to buy only one book on felting this is the one to purchase. I have bought others but found this one, at last, to be the answer to all my prayers. It is concise, well illustrated, simple to follow. It give you more than the basics to create beyond the book. Five Stars happily

I bought the book because of the project on the cover. I love that it used plain wool. No dyes. The other projects do have colourful dyes, but are still simple objects. This is a very appealing book for beginners.

Nice book, good suggestions for beginners and expert felt makers which I hope to become sooner or later with the book help!
