A RARE FIND!
I can’t say enough good things about the CUSTOMER SERVICE of this company! Throughout the whole process, when I reached out to Horow, they were helpful, friendly, and empathetic to any issues I was having. I would definitely do business with them again and again. This kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE is rare in our day and age. Thank you to the CUSTOMER SERVICE team again for your help and the generous giving of your time and effort efforts. As for the toilet itself, it is more like a work of art than a household necessity. All the bells and whistles make this toilet well worth the price. It’s nice to know that you can still buy a beautiful bidet toilet even if you have an outdated 10 inch rough in.

Amazing smart toilet
Amazing smart Toilet. I say to install and works perfectly. I am thinking why I didn’t get it before. Would highly recommend. Review after using it for 1 week.

Great toilet, important install notes.
The features and overall quality of this toilet are great. These bidet toilets sit very close to the wall, so you may run into an issue depending on where your water valve comes out of the wall and how far out it sticks. Ours happened to line up exactly with the left side of the toilet, but it only came out 3 inches and we actually had a 10.5" rough in instead of just 10" so we actually had 1/4" space between the toilet and water valve (Talk about close!) If the valve was a couple inches either left or right, it wouldn't have been an issue as it would've been to the left of the toilet or behind it in the opening in the back. The only suggestion for improvement I have for this toilet is the hookup (Which isn't a huge deal, but could be better.) They supply you with a water valve that you can either hook up and replace your existing shut off (Which I can't really see anybody doing, unless they were going to do it anyway), or hook it up piggy back off your existing one via the 3/8 compression adapter that comes with it. The other end of the valve is 3/4 MIP to fit the pre-installed hose coming off the back of the toilet. This hose is basically a braided flex water heater hose with 3/4 FIP connectors on each end, one is already attached to the toilet. If you've worked with these hoses before, they are fairly stiff, even being a flex hose. I decided to not use their supplied water valve at all and just use the one I already have. The only real benefit to their supplied water valve is it has an inline sediment filter in it you can clean. We have all PEX pipe and a 3 stage filter system on the entire house so sediment isn't an issue for us. Basically, you can go to the hardware store and get a 3/8 compression to 3/4 MIP brass adapter and then a flex supply hose with 3/8 compression on both ends. Hook the 3/4 MIP end of the adapter into the main hose off the toilet and then the 3/8 supply hose to the water valve and the other end of the adapter. Much easier and you don't have two water valves in place. Toilet has been installed for about 10 days so far and everything has been great.

My 2nd Horow toilet—warning…long.
I have been somewhat hesitant to post a review of the T37 toilet, mostly due to the wide range of positive and negative opinions. Nonetheless, I thought I would offer my thoughts. By way of background, approximately one month ago, after much research, I installed a Horow T38 smart bidet toilet, with a standard 12 inch rough. This had great reviews. Excellent performance and features at a great price compared to the ‘name brands’. As a ‘handy’ homeowner, I have experience changing out toilets, fixing plumbing and electrical, and was not scared off. As an aside, if you have never changed out a toilet, maybe don’t use this as a training exercise. After pulling out an old toilet, there are usually a few surprises, like a bad or loose flange, rotted floor, bad tile, etc. Allow lots of time for the project, and do it on a day where you can run to the hardware store if necessary. After reading the T38 instruction manual, and studying my particular layout (position of angle stop and electrical), I decided to order the T38. Installation was straightforward, though the toilet is very large and heavy, and you really need a second person to help you carefully set the toilet on the flange (to not mess up the seal/ring). This “standard” 12 inch rough toilet has enough room to allow Horow to use a small internal water tank as well as electrically driven pumps, and therefore the flushing mechanism does not rely on home water pressure. The T38 toilet comes with an adapter that easily attaches to your existing standard US angle stop, so no need for special hardware. The T38 is a great toilet, and I am very pleased (see my review over there). Based upon my experience with the T38, I decided to install a second bidet toilet. However, the other bathroom has a 10 inch rough. Fortunately, Horow has a suitable model, the T37. This is not just a scaled down version of the T38. This has significant functional differences. If you have the ability to install a 12 inch rough toilet, I would not install a T37. The T37 does not have internal room for a tank or electrical pumps, and relies on your home water pressure and flow, slightly different from conventional toilets that use a tank and gravity. As with the T38, it is strongly recommended that you read the T37 instruction manual several times carefully. Yes, the instruction manual for this model is poorly translated, but still understandable. And if you have questions, their customer service is excellent. Prompt replies to e-mails with helpful suggestions. You really must do the water flow test before even buying the T37 (even though the toilet does come with a bag to capture the water for the test). Just go get a 2 gallon bucket and a wrench. Go to the location of the toilet you wish to replace, and shut off the angle stop. Unscrew your flexible waterline from the bottom of the toilet, and place it into the bucket. Open the angle stop and count to 60 seconds. You need to have at least 1 gallon of water in the bucket by 15 seconds to ensure that the T37 toilet will flush properly (more is better, but like other toilets sold, they need to flush with 1.1 gallons of water or less per code). Installation of this toilet is not particularly different than installing a conventional toilet. However, instead of the toilet bolts being positioned outside (exposed) on the bottom flange, they are located interior to the toilet (hidden) under a removable cover. Slightly more awkward to tighten the nuts, but certainly more aesthetically pleasing. Also note that this toilet comes with a much larger ‘non-standard’ single waterline. They do provide an unusual adapter/angle stop which will not connect to your existing US angle stop. You could choose to have a plumber remove your existing angle stop and install the one that comes with the T37. However, after reading one of the earlier reviews for this toilet, a smart homeowner figured out a way to go to the hardware store and simply buy an adapter and flexible hose, which you then connect between your existing angle stop and the larger hose from the toilet. No need to get a plumber or do any significant alteration to your existing plumbing. The T37 has all of the smart functions and features of the larger T38: front and rear wash, pulsating wash, adjustable water temperature, air temperature and seat temperature, forced air drying, sanitizing, and automatic seat opening and closing as well as automatic flush. Note that the remote control is significantly different than on the T38, and in my opinion is slightly less intuitive. Specifically, the indicator lights on the T37 remote are somewhat confusing, however once you have read through the manual and figure out what settings you want, you really don’t need to pay attention to the indicator lights on the T37 remote (think of a new car where you spend like an hour reading the manual and setting up all of the buttons and knobs the first time). Also, while the T38 allows you to change the decorative lighting around the perimeter of the toilet itself, and has a glitzier graphic display, the T37 has decorative lighting that is not user controllable and simply changes based upon the function of the toilet at that time. First world problem. OK, so for the most critical question, how does the T37 flush? In my opinion the flush quality is no different than a standard US two piece or one piece toilet with a tank. The toilet does a pre-wetting of the bowl (as does the T38) which really helps keep the bowl clean. The toilet appears to use a multi-step flush, with initial water flow from above, then waiting for the siphon effect, then introducing water from the periphery and also water at the bottom of the front of the bowl, in a fashion that appears to me to clean the bowl effectively. I am not seeing a problem with retained solids. And as far as flush noise, again, not particularly different than listening to a regular toilet. If you are sleeping in a bedroom that’s immediately under any toilet, you are probably going to hear it anyway. I hope this helps you make an informed choice. Oh and why not 5 stars--just because I like the 'active' flush technology of the larger T38 toilet and find the remote control a bit more 'user friendly', and also because of the unusual water line and plumbing hardware.
