Excellent drape, hand, feel. Generously cut
Black = true, dark black. Feels nice, and nice drape and hand. Generous cut, gave me an extra 4" per yard, so more like a meter-plus. I bought the black and it will work perfectly. I plan to sew a Minnie Mouse outfit to wear to Disneyland in early September. The black is the accent color to the red with white polka dot fabric I bought from another vendor. Now I need to make a decision on which of 3 patterns I am considering. I am debating whether to be closer to the "real" MInnie Mouse versus choosing a style more complimentary to my body, and have the suggestion of Minnie Mouse. I bought a Disney Minnie hat, and Minnie Croc Clogs to go with it. I am leaning towards a feminine jumpsuit pattern with Minnie fabric.

Lovely fabric and it arrived sooner than expected.
The fabric itself is beautiful and exactly the color I needed. I should’ve ordered a tablecloth though because that’s piece of fabric but at least it’s finished all around the ends!! Giving it five stars because it is worthy of it.

Does fade some
Beautiful deep purple color. I wanted a fade resistant cloth to swag on my cross for Easter. It’s been outside for 2 weeks but the color has faded. I would say it has lightened by one shade. I will use it next year and just turn over. Quality is great. Very strong material.

good product
I bought this for Halloween costume (Poppy Pomfrey from Harry Potter) so I needed a lot of fabric on a budget. I am pleased with the purchase. It has sewn up nicely. I gave it all 5 on the ratings because I thought it was good value for the intent I had using it for. It asked about rating on sheerness but it is not see through. It is a little on the thinner side for broadcloth but not enough to give bad rating. It did not stretch out of true or fray when sewing the fabric up. Color was as expected. Will try to update review when done with all the sewing.

What quilters and crafters should know
First the Burgundy: This fabric measures 59" wide and an inconsistent yard. It is true in color. One end was torn to cut, the other cut at a careless angle. The hand of this fabric is thin and a little crisp. You are getting what you pay for but it is also a fairly tight weave. It's not like a a lawn, the feel and weight closer to a modern batik (not the batiks of a decade ago). As many know cheap broadcloth is frequently more akin to a lawn cloth, which has a more open weave and batiks a decade ago were heavier. Its thread is fine, the salvage thin and tight, about a 1/4". It frays a little easy when you stroke the cut edge. Who ever cut and folded it didn't do it with care. I ordered 2 cuts of fabric they were stacked from a roll (probably not bolt cloth), then folded so sloppy that the edge of the fabric became part of the fold in the shipping bag and the edge of one of the pieces was cut when the bag was opened. Yes you can see light through it, but not much. This should work well for my intentions, I was planning using it for bag linings. Although I am temped to prewash as I am concerned about color bleed and shrink. If my swatch test bleeds I will amend this review.2nd the Jade: The quality of this fabric was a little different. This makes me wonder about inconsistencies with the next bolt of any color. The jade fabric is slightly heavier and the salvage an open weave and is 59" wide. It's length a yard plus a couple inches. It shows the fold lines of coming off a bolt. Its color true enough to the picture but maybe a little better. It is a nice shade of green, I might have named it "evergreen".Any of the negatives of the Burgundy are reprieved by the Jade but they are both still industrial fabrics, not couturier. My one concern even over color bleed is needle size. I'm not sure that this fabric can handle the larger needles used in bag making, which happens when you layer fabrics. All in all I will probably be buying more of this fabric, just careful about where I use it and if I amend it'll be within a day or two.
