Five stars and excellent quality
Beurer BM55 Blood Pressure Monitor Easy to use, clear display, and reliable readings. The cuff is comfortable, and the dual-user memory is very convenient. No apps or Bluetooth needed—just simple, accurate blood pressure monitoring. Highly recommended.

A great value for something that works!
We've been through a number of blood pressure monitors over the years--big expensive ones, small wrist-mounted ones, and other options in between. They tend to work for a bit and then stop working, and replacing or fixing them is a chore if it's even possible. And on occasion, we would have two monitors at once, and they would return very different results. Our doctor suggested looking into the Beurer line, and we ended up picking the BM55 based on a variety of sources recommending it. Our experiences after several weeks of use are entirely positive. The BM55 is quiet. A person in the next room didn't even recognize that I was using it. It's entirely inaudible from 20 feet away. It's small and easily portable too with a great carrying case to keep it on hand where you need it... and to put it somewhere obvious to help you remember to use it! We have very different arm sizes, and the cuff is highly adjustable and fits us both very well. With weeks of daily use, the batteries haven't even begun to flicker as tested with an independent battery tester. The memory features are outstanding and easy to use, and it's easy to switch between two different users' data. The screen output is big and easy to read with a nice backlit screen. This thing is very simple to operate and read, and that's going to be a big plus for users who might struggle with smaller displays or other technical limitations. Our family agrees that this monitor is a great value for its price, and we're probably going to pick up a second one just to have it or to keep one in another location... or to give as a gift!

Big, bold display!!!
I’ve always had low blood pressure, but lately it has run too low at doctor’s visits (I’m 50). My doctor suggested getting an at home blood pressure monitor, and this one was rated #1 by Consumer Reports. It’s very easy to use, and so far I haven’t had trouble with the cuff fitting or getting any error messages. The readout numbers are HUGE with a nicely backlit display. I can’t emphasize how great this is enough. I’m not blind or anything but I chose this one over others because of it’s high rating as well as being super easy to read. I’m taking off a star because I’m not sure about accuracy. I may even take this in to the doctor’s office next time to compare readings to see if they are at least in the ballpark range of my doctor’s office. I say this because one of the readings I’ve gotten so far has a number that has been 10 points higher than has been usual most of my life. There has been a sort of big range in readings, all on the high side (but still within normal) but I need to make sure it is accurate. It does store up to 60 of your most recent readings. This is great, but as far as I have figured out, they’re not shown as a list on the display. You literally have to scroll through them one by one, so it’s hard to remember numbers for comparison unless you’re actually writing them down. In fact, I would recommend writing them down in a notebook anyway, since you may need them over the long term for comparison, longer than the 60 days it records. One important point is that you should take the readings at the same time every day, and don’t eat before taking them. I’ve taken mine at various points during the day so perhaps that is why I am getting a wide variation on my readings.

Very nice BP Monitor
I have been using the BM55 for about 6 years - the cuff wore out and it was easy to get a new one from Buerer. The older model was able to transfer the results to my computer but it was quite cumbersome. I decided to order the newest version to have a second monitor. The new model does connect to the computer which, as I mentioned, was not very efficient and I never referred to that old information anyway. The 60 reading rolling memory is more than enough. I also like the fact that this monitor can save info for two users. My administrative assistant likes to keep track of her BP as well. The BM55 has also been quite consistent. It never made sense to me that one's BP could be so variable even when taken within minutes apart. The consistency assures me that it is likely quite accurate. The arrhythmia indicator is wonderful as I fight afib and, though I do not have dramatic symptoms, it is great to know if it is present or not. There is no learning curve to this machine except to learn how to access previous readings in the memory. The quality is exceptional for the price. I use the included carrying case regularly for vacations and travel.

Blood Pressure Device
Very slick and compact. Works great to keep track of numbers and has a really nice carrying/storage case. Device is easy to use and came with great instructions. Even came with the batteries.

Good, one-handed cuff, accurate and compact.
I bought the Beurer monitor based on a recommendation from Wirecutter. I generally trust their reviews. I have and have been using a monitor from another company. The Beurer wasn't available anywhere, even places where you would expect it to be in stock, like Amazon. I waited and bought it when I saw it was available. I had questions about the accuracy of the device I was using and the BM55 is supposed to be very accurate. It seems that's correct. The BM55 has some positive and not-so-positive characteristics that I will mention here. The positive aspects of the product are very important. The couple of negatives are not so negative as to dissuade a purchase. On the down side, this model doesn't have Bluetooth or any way to move data from the device to your computer. I believe you can use their app and service as an intermediary. Bluetooth is not a big deal for me and Beurer has models that include the feature. Also on the downside, I find the inflation tube to be a bit short. I've tugged the meter while putting the cuff on. More than once. I wear the cuff on my right arm and the tube is connected to its plug as if it were being use by a left-armer, making the tube even shorter for me, though by just a very little bit. It also seems to me that the meter deflates the cuff a bit slower than the meter I had been using. Accuracy is more important than speed, so that's not a big deal either. On the positive side, I know that the meter is accurate. I've compared its results to other meters. The cuff. The cuff it it's best feature. The cuff can be put on by the person taking readings. It's not necessary to have another person walk over to tighten and secure the cuff. You pull the end through a wide d-ring, or similar, and fasten the velcro. The velcro on this cuff is like that at a doctor's office. It doesn't slip and you won't hear it tearing apart as the cuff inflates. The cuff is large enough for a fat arm. Beurer should offer an XL sized cuff though. All-in-all, I recommend the device. It's inexpensive, accurate, not overly "clinical" looking, and easy to use.

Buyer beware: Not a 5 star machine. Complicated, unable to get it to work properly
Very disappointed in this product. I bought due to lots of 5 star ratings. I did research on many types of BP machines. It is not easy use nor accurate. I have tried many, many times to set date. It has a hard time knowing I want to set date, even after holding home button down for 5 seconds. It will constantly start pumping up to do pressure. NERVE WRACKING! 1. The month will not go to todays date - 11/16. It only goes to 12 then goes back around to 1,2, etc.. The instructions suck big time. I had to go to U tube to figure it out. Manual is worthless. Especially telling us how to set it. 2. Batteries. I put in 3 sets of batteries, all brand new, all different brands. It still shows one mark on battery power. Never ever gets full. Is this draining battery it by using 2/3 times, does it manufacturer flaw, is the icon incorrect and it's really full? 3. Readings are not accurate! This is why I bought it because my old one was jumping all over the place. This one I do not trust!! No way is one reading off by 30 points, next reading off by 25, next reading off by 30 again. 4. Cuff works good for my small arm. Feet are on floor, not bent/curved/crossed but the seating icon keeps showing I'm not seating properly. YES I AM! I will probably be returning and going back to Omron. I don't trust it, it's far from accurate. Only thing I like is the large, bright numbers. Would I recommend others to buy - NO. Way too many cons, with only 1 pro.

Awesome Quality Product!
I have always liked Buerer products for their quality and accuracy and I'm really happy with this product too. It's super easy to use and the readings seem very accurate. Plus, it looks really sleek and modern, not like some of those clunky ones. It's definitely worth the money if you're looking for a reliable and stylish device. Highly recommend!
