Vic FIrth - American Classic® Drumsticks 5AB - American Hickory - Wood Tip - Black

Top quality sticks as always, I have used Vic Firth for a number of years and have never had an issue. I play regular hour and a half gigs and a set typically can last 3 or 4 of those depending on the kit i am playing. They aren't too pricey and because they are 5A they are fairly light.

I have tried plenty of different sticks over the years and Vic Firth are my absolute go to. Weighted and balanced perfectly, smooth finish with great shape and size meaning they function fantasticly. Lots of feedback so you can tell when you've hit a dud note but also just as much when you're striking those notes perfectly and getting in to the flow. Different weight options for different attack and playing styles and always produces a confident, solid impact with great sound quality. I think if you're struggling with learning, fatigue or dropping sticks then maybe a set of these sticks will help. Remember, master the basics and if you're starting with a cheaper inferior stick then you're making it harder for yourself. I can't stress enough how important it is to have good sticks and is one of the cheapest ways to improve your playing before going in deep on everything else. It can get expensive quickly.

Has a good feel to it

My son swears by these. These drumsticks are a solid choice for drummers. The hickory wood gives them a nice balance and durability, and the wood tip provides a warm sound on the drums and cymbals. The black finish looks sleek, and having four pairs in a pack is a great deal for the price. They feel comfortable and well-weighted in your hands. However, if you're heavy-handed, you might find they're not the most durable over time. Overall, they’re a reliable pick for both practice and performance.

Vic firth 5AB means a BLACK 5A. A stick half way between a 5A and a 5B is called a 55A by VF.

Just bought these sticks and slightly disappointed the rubber tips weren’t included. The product description isn’t clear as to what is included. The pictures of silicone tips inserted on the sticks & images of them packaged are somewhat misleading. Great sticks though.
