Waste of money
Absolutely useless. The little tubs that hold the liquid are made of the thinnest of plastic, and every single tub was warped, causing it to sit lopsided in the hard case. I spilled some liquid on my hands, and honestly, it just smells like pure vinegar. I mean, maybe there’s some sort of pheromone or chemical in there but it’s not effective. Every summer, the flies are so bad in my area. I’ve had these tubs sitting on my windowsills for three days now. I placed them there because that’s where a lot of the flies gravitate to, but it hasn’t caught a single one. Save your money, and invest in a good flyswatter. I suggest a metal one. Oh, and stay away from those little zapping paddles because I tried that too. All it did was knock the fly out for literally five seconds. Hardly enough time to finish the job before they regain their senses and fly away.

They work!
I’ve been using the Hot Shot Flying Insect Trap, and it works great! It’s discreet and blends in with the surroundings, so I don’t have to worry about an eyesore in my home. I love that it’s hassle-free—just set it up, and it does its job without needing constant maintenance. The trap catches flies and other flying insects efficiently, and I’ve noticed a significant reduction in pests around the house. It’s perfect for areas where I want to keep insects away but don’t want to deal with the mess of traditional fly traps. If you’re looking for a simple, effective solution to keep flying insects under control, I highly recommend this product!

Completely Ineffective
I bought these traps to put in my kitchen and bathrooms. In our kitchen, we tend to get fruit flies around our coffee machine. In the bathroom, we get them around the sinks, as they come out of the overflow drains and like to hang around my potted plants. These come in a 6-pack, which includes 6 small plastic cases and 6 single-use solution tubs. To setup, you take on plastic case, and one solution tub. Peel the sealed cover off of the solution tub, drop it into the case, and put the lid on the case. From there, you just place it in the area where you notice flying insects. The solution looks unremarkable, visually, but smells slightly of vinegar. After these had dried up, it looked somewhat goopy, but still smelled of vinegar. Putting a bit of water into the solution tub quickly reconstitutes the solution. Given this, I believe the solution is nothing more than vinegar, water, and soap, which is the recipe for a DIY fruit fly trap, but in a MUCH smaller scale. The first night I put these out, I caught a single fruit fly in the bathroom, which made me very hopeful that these were to solution to my problem. Unfortunately, these seem to be absolutely ineffective, as that first fruit fly I caught has been THE ONLY fruit fly I’ve caught, even though you can see them flying around these things. I’m not sure if the solution is too weak, too small amount, or just not an effective solution in the first place. Given that I’ve had these in place for months at this point, and have only caught one single fly, which I believe was a complete fluke, I have to come to the conclusion that these are a complete sham that do absolutely nothing, which the company probably knows, but still decides to cash in on people needing a real solution. Overall, these are a major disappointment, and I would not recommend these to anyone.

Waste of money
Not at all effective. We have had an issue with tiny fruit flies. Needed an alternative to the plug-in for a length of time I was going away. After 2 weeks, undisturbed, not one insect collected. I had more in a small water cup-catch located in yet a different area, but zero in the trap. I returned the plug in, and overnight had at least 10 on the sticky paper catch. Don’t bother with this product.

Mostly ineffective
Caught some fruit flies, zero house flies. I'm disappointed. This year I was bothered by houseflies in the house. These traps all evaporated before catching even one house fly. I set out four of them. I'll put another four out. I gave it two stars because it caught a few fruit flies in the kitchen. Not as many as my apple cider vinegar DIY trap either. Won't be purchasing these again.

Cute and compact product.. did not work very well for as many flys as we had though.
I really wanted to love these but our flys apparently were not interested in this product… i love how small they were and they are pretty. We maybe caught 1, maybe 2 flys in total.

Works well
What I like most is the design. I got these to use on my office desk when those pesky gnats come around. It’s functional and discreet.
