Q: The part that plugs into the controller broke off in the controller, can this be fixed or replaced??

It could be, yes. You'd need to know how to splice wires and attach a new connector to replace it. You can find a new connector on Amazon. If you have another old headset with the same connector you could also cut the cable on that and splice that connector onto the HyperX cable. W/out the shielding on the splice that is present on the factory cable, you might be picking up some noise though. TL:DR - Yes, it can be done. No, I wouldn't bother trying to do it.

Q: Is it possible to buy the usb audio control box + cable separately? my control box's cable is ruined

Not seeing it available on its own through hyper that being said you can find them and I found a few just not on amazon.
