Schick Hydro Silk Effects Plus Razor Blade Refills for Women - 5 Count

I have been using the Schick Silk Effects razor since the mid 90's and this razor was a blessing during my military training days when I only had five minutes to shower. I could easily shave fast (light pressure), with zero nicks, scrapes, or razor burn. It has been my go to razor (25+ years) and the BEST razor! Yes is has only TWO blades, but it works better than four blades in my opinion. The wire protector does a great job keeping you from cuts and scrapes - unless you are applying too much pressure. In that case, you will cut yourself with any razor. The blades are designed specifically to keep you from doing that.I was very disappointed to see the stores stop carrying the refill blades, and in my case in stores near me, the razor itself. When I found the razor and refills here on Amazon, I was over the moon! Needless to say, I have been purchasing both ever since.

This is wife of Malcolm is writing the review. I decided to write this review, just to help people who are not sure if this is right product to buy. When I was buying it, I wasn't sure, I was looking somebody would make a picture of razor to show what razor I could use with it. I was hoping to use it with my purple razor bought in past and I have two of them, I didn't want just to junk them, they are still good. And nobody had a picture of this razor. In description they say: Schick (r) Silk Effects (r) Plus Razor Refills to be used with Schick (r) Silk Effects Plus (r) Razor. But I wanted to use it with razors I already bought before. And somebody in questions and answers mentioned that it worked with their old razor (thank you to them), but they didn't make a picture. So, I decided to buy it. And, it worked! I'm very happy about it! I made pictures to help people who are looking blades for the same razor I was looking. I received 6 blades in 2 packages (3 in each). They are exactly the same that I used before. You can see at pictures how razor's head looks and how blades look. I placed my old blade for comparison with new ones and they look the same way. Head of blade is matching razors. At last picture, you can see my new blade on razor. It fits perfectly. I hope it will help you to find what you are looking for and to make a purchase :)

These are always my favorite because I don’t have to keep buying razors, I can just buy these replacements blades. They are super fine. The blade quality is great. Sometimes I don’t even have to use shaving cream so it’s a very good value for my money!

Only razor I will use! Have tried 2 or 3 others over the years just to see how they compared. Other ones may have looked good in the package but I always went back to these. Been using them since I was 12 or 13 and Im 40 now! Very loyal to these and wish they were still sold in stores. Im SO glad they are still available here on amazon and I hope they never stop selling them! On my most recent order I bought one pack of 5 razors and received 2 packs with 3 razors each. So I actually received 6 razors which is one extra, which is fine with me!

These razor blades are great on my skin. No cuts. No irritations. Reasonable price. So glad I found something that works very well.

I love these refill blades and have bought them over and over again. The only thing that I’d complain about is that it lists that there are 5 cartridges in the pack when there are only 3. That is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. Please update the advertising.

I have been using Silk effects for more than 25 years, and thank goodness the blades still fit the handle I purchased years ago.
