Ocim Magnifying Glass with Light,30X Lighted Magnifying Glass for Reading

I received my 30X high power jumbo lighted magnifier today. After testing it on numerous things, I like it very much. It’s a bit heavy, but well made. I also like the lighted feature because it really helps to illuminate difficult things to see. The field of view is small because of its magnification, but with a little practice, you learn to adjust how you look at things. However, I would not recommend it for reading a book, for that, you need a different kind of magnification. This magnifier is great for reading very small print, like on pill bottles, coins, and instructions. I highly recommend it for anyone who has difficulties seeing small things.One more thing, I did read all the negative reviews, they are absolutely wrong, this is a great product…

Plastic around magnifier seems thin so not for rugged use. Heavy glass magnifier. Batteries easy to put in and light fairly well. Would be nice if this brightness and a higher bright setting. Handle is ok but not the most ergonomic to hold. Due to heavy glass it is not well balanced. Good value for the price. Works well if need to remove splinter.

This magnifying glass is very sturdy and the built in led lights are a plus. However, the high magnification has a tendency to cause fine print to be distorted at times, especially with rapid movement across a line of print such as when reading small print on a prescription bottle. It works better on magnifying small details on objects like coins or jewelry. The key is having a steady hand moving it slowly across the print.

We have two and couldn’t survive without them.

- THE GOOD:-- The price is low enough.-- It has lights.-- It uses 2 AA batteries, not 3 AAA batteries. AAA cost the same but have 1/2 the energy.- THE BAD:-- The optical magnification is not 30X, it is more like 4X.-- The lens is thicker and heavier than necessary for the magnification it produces.-- The LED lights are 15 year old technology. They should be COB LEDs with a shade of white of 5000K uniformly distributed around the outside.-- The LED shade of white is not 5000K. They are about 6000K. 6000K has too much blue light. Blue light scatters too much. Humans see the best with a 5000K shade of white.

Easy to grip and the light is fantastic. Makes it very easy to see a liny sliver in your hand or the tiniest print on the back of a bottle. Has made my life easier already.

Pros: The magnifying power is fabulous!!! Much better than other brands.. the glass is nice quality. The circle of built in bright lights is an added bonus! The continuous ring of lights aids in seeing better. You no longer need a secondary light source when taking out a sticker. The quality is excellent!! I find a need to use this great tool everyday. Besides reading fine print there are tons of uses. This morning I inspected our raspberries for bugs since we grow organic.Cons: The handle needs to be longer. I have small hands. When gripping the handle my hand hangs off the end. My husband has large hands and grips the handle with two fingers. However, this magnifying glass is so soon I gave it 5 stars and would purchase again. In the near future I will be purchasing more for gifts.

I was looking for a magnifying glass to read pill bottles and everything else that is too small for anyone to read in today's society. This was perfect for me because it was an expensive, large enough to hold in my hand and has very strong lights. Great for looking at food labels and pill bottles as I mentioned. Also for anything else that has really small writing or if you are searching for something in a closet. You can use it for a flashlight as well I noticed. And I do.
