Noguchi Paper Lamp, Akari Floor Lamp, Japanese Lantern Ideal for Bedside, Living Room, and Japandi Décor (Noguchi Table Lamp)

The shade it bright white. Not the way it looks online. Also, the bulb is extremely bright. Not subtle like a Japanese lamp

The light is a bit harsh and not warm as pictured. Also, the legs are uneven. It is a nice lamp, but not at this price or quality of material. I would advise buying elsewhere.

I ordered this for my college daughter’s apartment. She placed it on her desk and loves it. I love that the style is reminiscent of her Asian heritage (grandmother is Japanese). Assembly is required, however she says it took approx 30 seconds. Directions are legible (in English) and a light bulb is conveniently included. There are three settings, becoming progressively warmer in brightness. In the images included, the lamp is on the brightest setting. Also In the photo is a 32 oz water bottle for size comparison. She enjoys this lamp immensely but her only issue is that it doesn’t have rubber bottoms or any type of “stoppers” on the legs. Because of this, depending on what surface it’s placed, it may slide around. I’ll leave this to my husband to remedy. I received this through Amazon Vine at a reduced price in exchange for my review. I do feel the full price is fair especially for an excellent quality Noguchi style lamp. Often times the paper in these Askari lamps can be incredibly cheap and flimsy, but not for this one. At the time of this review, it’s 20% off. I’m tempted to surprise my daughter with one for her bedroom here at home (and one for my living area). Definitely recommend.

Overall, I think this lamp is great. It was easy to assemble, is well-designed, well-built, very bright. What I don't like: - no wattage information provided--the LED bulb might be 10w or 16w (no idea). although there's no wattage info, the E26 bulb can be swapped out to another one (so at least there's that.) - there is NO memory function.... I want this light to be a warm white, but every time I turn it off and on with my Alexa-enabled smart plug, it turns on as a bright, daylight white. again, I guess I can swap the bulb out. Overall, I like this light, but it just isn't what I expected. All of the info is there on the description so I can't unfairly knock em for it. If my dislikes are no issue to you, you'll really like this lamp. For the other reviewer saying that it knocks down easily, I don't have that issue. Yes, it's very lightweight and if you hit it, it will knockdown--but for me, it's not in a place where it gets hit or anything. Also, mine doesn't flicker. Not sure what they're talking about with this one either.

This lamp added just what I needed to the tranquility of my room. At first I thought I would have to purchase a softer warmer light bulb because when you first turn the lamp on it's a bright stark white light that's just way too much for my taste, but if you turn the power off and on, the light dims and gives you that warm soft light shown in the product pictures. I believe there is 3 different settings. I took 1 star off cause I would have preferred a dimmer switch but no biggie I guess. This is a very light lamp so I would suggest placing in an area where it's not going to be easily knocked down. I have it in a corner so not worried about that. Pretty easy to assemble, took about 10 minutes total, All in all, beautiful lamp!
