Nice choices of projects with great photos,. I just finished the Brattleboro hat patternon page 79. It came out really nice and ready to make another. However there is aPattern CORRECTION needed for the Shape Crown section. You need to Rep dec rnd every other rnd10 times not 7. This will have you end up with the "16 sts remaining" the instructions refer to. IF you follow as written you will have 24 sts remaining instead and the shaping won't be right.

Anything published by Interweave Press is a favorite of mine. This is not the first sockupied they have put out. Check out the Interweave web site for lots more stuff from these folks. Sometimes pricey (their videos and collections of annual magazines). But always well done. Lots of photos. Lots of knowledge and dedication to the arts of knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, quilting and sewing. They are all about yarns and threads and different ways of making fabric and using the fabric you have made. You can buy here on Amazon or you can buy directly from their web site. Love these people who love the hobbies I love. Never got anything from them that was not 5 star.

Can't go wrong adding this book to your library. Some designs work better with differently dyed yarns and I tend to buy yarn because I fall in love with it then go look for a pattern that suits it. Other knitters might find the pattern first then look for the yarn to make it up in. Either way this bood is a good one to add to your collection.

I'm an experienced knitter, but a beginning sock knitter. I like this book because it gives you a lot of options and techniques to try. My only complaint about the book is that it doesn't lie flat, such that I need to place something on it to hold the book open.

This book came on time and in great condition for a used book. I have checked this book out several times from my local library because it's such a great book. Beautiful socks and instructions for all different toe up and cuff down socks. I was happy to find a used one and save some money.

What a great book! So many socks, great methods for toe up conversions, darning and repair, and lots of fabulous patterns.

Excellent book for socks with a difference. Plenty of challenging variations from toe up and top down. Not for the faint hearted, you really do need to know how to make socks initially before trying out these patterns.
