If you are going to add any sound dampening material to your car this is the one to use. Do not purchase the tar/foil based products (fatmat)!!!I just upgraded my system in my 2009 Jetta and had hushmat installed in the doors. After about a week I decided to get the trunk kit and really finish out my upgrade. I had never used ay sound dampening material before but I am glad I took the time to research this product. This is a high end product and the price reflect that a bit but you are getting the best.Product was shipped on time and was waiting for me on my door step when I got home from work. I had been anticipating getting my trunk kit so I didn't wait to get the trunk liner out and see how big this project was going to be. The product was as easy as all the reviews and videos had said. No prep other than getting trunk down to the metal and pre-placing the sheets before sticking them down. They are pretty easy to pull up if you stick it down and need to move it. My trunk area was more sq footage than the kit covered so I was glad I purchased the additional starter kit just in case. I still have more area I want to cover in the trunk so I will be purchasing more in the near future.After putting everything back in the trunk I went for am immediate road test. I drove for about 5 mins with no music just to see how much noise it did block out from the road. I was really impressed, this car sounds really quiet inside. The sound test was so much different than before the trunk kit. I have a JL 10" Power Wedge and all the distortion I was getting before was eliminated. Granted I went heavy on the hushmat on my driver side back wheel-well where the sub is located. I finished the drive again with no music and no A/C just to hear how quite it was and I noticed that I could hear a little more road noise from the back passenger side wheel-well I didn't cover so I have a future project upcoming.

Initially, I was looking to quiet down a 1971 Datsun 510 without adding too much weight. After the new motor ( old school, but tricked) an additional problem surfaced with heat generated by the headers, especially in the foot well and along the transmission tunnel on the driver's side area. Also, the induction noise from the twin Mikunis was sweet, but a bit loud........510's are notoriously known as "tin cans" anyway but the new drive train exacerbated the problem. The car was being built as a performance street vehicle (read 45 year old M3 here) but the road, engine noise and heat needed "adjustment". Hush Mat to the rescue!I didn't think the results would be so acute, but with judicious use of Hush Mat products (mostly Ultra) in the right places, the car became civilized......not enough to confuse it with BMW of course, but more than enough to satisfy the senses. And, comfortably, I can now drive to anovernight spot or a day long tour with the car club. Total installation of Ultra was around 45 lbs.To do things correctly is important when working with the product. Do your research, then do a clean installation and you will be rewarded.

1971 CamaroThis product is very easy to use cut & peal and stick that is it no mess to clean. Top tip they all come on sheets I would start from the front of your car or truck 7 work your way back .those hard to get areas get some paper and make a template use a sharpie marker to draw the lines then simply cut and apply this stuff is way better than the factory insulation tar / car board that stuff is rubbish it will dry and crack. If you have to rip your floor up like I did it is a nightmare to get off. I would recommend Hushmat to anyone who is doing a restoration or redoing there inside. we went the extra mile and sealed the whole floor with one of the major brand liquid bed liners then put the Husmat in the car this is a great product to work with I highly recommend it. The average Joe can do this in a half a day just plan out how much you need.

Good stuff and fair price. Super easy to install - you can use scissors and it cuts easily. I used a tennis ball instead of a roller since most of the surfaces in my car are not flat. No tape is necessary (advice I received calling Hushmat support). The result is a slight dampening of sound. I was hoping for more, but even the subtle effect is helpful. I have a Honda Element which is super noisy so every bit counts.

I bought this because it wasn't as expensive as some of the other products. I just installed it so I can't speak to longevity. After reading reviews and watching the university of Youtube, I didn't want to spend a ton of money for "top of the line" products so I decided to to give Hushmat a try. I also put a foam on top of it. I think the goal should be to put something on the metal and Hushmat does a great job at a reasonable price.

Couldn't be more pleased with Hushmat. The install has been painless, cutting it is easy with scissors and it bends very easily to the inside of the cab contours. I've used this all over the floor and firewall of my 49 GMC and I would absolutely do it again.

Was exactly as expected and quick delivery

Bought this kit to use in doors on 2004 Toyota 4Runner. Used exactly 5 sheets per door, so 10 sheets (this kit) will get you 2 doors completed. I used this material on both sides of door, on inside and outer shell. I was pleasantly surprised how easy to apply this material. You just cut it to shape, try it on in place and if all looks good peel the paper on and apply. Use a small roller to get rid of air bubbles. Sticks to the doors like crazy! Love this product. Will definitely order more to do whole truck

Easy to use and apply. Much easier with a roller set and a utility knife. Knocked the exhaust drone down -6dB . Great product!

We used this material in our RV to block heat transfer from the engine in the cab. Easy to cut, but the backing does separate easily from the product - perhaps is old stock?
