I'm really amazed with the quality of this mandolin for a very reasonable price. If you're familiar with setting up a sringed instrument such as a guitar or banjo, you'll find it's quite easy to adjust for your needs. Sounds good as an acoustic and played through your amplifier. The pickup works well and the volume and tone controls work and feel as a good quality. I set up the bridge for the correct intonation and wasn't a problem with the floating bridge. For what my expectations were before receiving this, I would rate this at a 8.75 out of 10. Even the 1/4" cable passed the test, no crackling or cutting out, as I've had that kind of problems with inexpensive cables before. If you're uncertain or hesitant upon purchasing this mandolin don't worry, I feel that you won't be disappointed!

Low quality cheap plywood build poor sound but a affordable beginner mandolin
