Blumhouse's Truth Or Dare

Typical Blumhouse to do a movie that is a watered-down horror flick for high school students. This movie was utterly terrible with an ending that was predictable from 7 minutes into it. Blumhouse is always hit or miss with great movies like Get Out, Split, and the original 2013 The Purge but also has dived with movies like Happy Death Day, Ouija, The Belko Experiment, and the list goes on. Truth or Dare is about a group of party-goers college student who attend spring break in Mexico and are tricked into playing a fatal game of truth or dare. After a plethora of murders in their wake, the group finds themselves back full circle to end the game.With similar notes reminiscent of Happy Death Day, this movie also attempts to reeducate the audience on morals and ethics. Apparently, it is supported by the writers to "stop trying to save everyone else and save yourself". In several occasions, the group condemns another member for trying to serve the community through nonprofit organizations. I guess the moral of the story is, tell the truth even if it completely devastates someone? Three thumbs down! Dont see this movie if you are just trying to watch a fun, scary, and chilling movie. See it if you are a high school kid who wants to see what the world isnt about.

If you are looking for a horror movie that actually has substance and a great plot, this is the one for you.This movie is about a group of college teens that go on a vacation to Mexico for one last hooray before graduation. While there, the main character Olivia meets this handsome, funny stranger, who invites her friends and her to play a seemingly harmless game of truth or dare. What starts as a fun careless game turns into something far more sinister as the friends start reveling their deepest darkest secrets, and when you think it cant get worse, people start to die one by one. The rules are really very simple, tell the truth or you die, do the dare or you die, stop playing and you die.Overall, this is a must watch for you horror and drama fanatics. Great plot and story line, thoroughly enjoyed.

I really liked this movie, much better than the other movie I saw with the same name it had a good plot and the acting was better than the other one . And not a lot of unnecessary gore to make the movie great. I'm not saying it's a A movie but a good B movie, in my opinion. I saw a lot of reviews were most people don't like it but I still took a chance, I wanted to see it for myself and surprisingly I liked it. I would recommend this movie, if you don't go into it with high expectations and expect stellar acting and plot you may just like this movie

Now this movie is very crazy. The people that are in the movie were rude to this one fellow. And to get himself out of the game from living or dying he brought new people into the game. Once you answer truth or dare your life is now on the line and it's crazy. They have to the craziest things or tell a secret they're not supposed to. You have no choice but to do the date or tell the truth to anything that's the only way to live. This movie messes with your head and because of the movie I never want to play that game cause I want to live lol. This was a well thought of movie. The hole plot of it is amazing. A fun game you used to play when u were younger had now got your life in it's hand. The truths and dates are very hard to get through. You have.no choice but to play when it's your turn. This would definitely get you to the point where you want to commit suicide. This was a great movie and it had you on the edge of your seat the hole movie. I give this movie 5 stars for sure

This movie has a lot of young people who will be stars including Lucy Hale who steals the movie with fine acting. The start is good as college students are in Mexico and are set up by someone to please a demon. If you take a dare or the truth you die if you fail. Great Beginning and Middle the end looks like it poorly written and a disappointment. Whoever wrote the ending should be ashamed as it could have an ending to watch the movie IMHO. You might want to rent and see if you want to buy,

A party game taken to the extremes and with deadly consequences. This was actually pretty good. The cast was great and I liked how the game started playing them. It fed off each character's weaknesses. I did not expect that ending at all. A shocking move for Lucy Hale's good natured character. But everyone has their limits and when it's between life and death, most people will choose life.

Entertaining, but not especially good. It's the same as all of the other ones like this, except the ending was a bit more in tune with millenials. There is no redeeming lesson learned or any message. Just people dying - quickly if they don't believe the game is real, or slowly, depending on how willing they are to be selfish and harm somebody else. I don't regret spending the money to rent it, but I doubt I'll remember ever having seen it a year from now.

I have found that I can't go wrong with a Blumhouse movie. According to the rules in my house, they count as a scary movie, but they don't give me nightmares. They're more like soft horror. Truth or Dare was a fun, suspenseful thriller, and I'm pretty sure I had to look away a time or two. However, if you are frustrated by movies that don't have closure, maybe hold off on this one. It definitely ends with a not so subtle hint at a sequel. Can't wait!!!

A group of students on their final Spring break take a trip to Mexico and get drawn into a game of 'Truth or Dare'. As the game progresses they find that it isn't just a game and there are serious consequences if they lie or refuse the dare.This is a highly entertaining film even though it's not original or particularly scary. This sounds like an odd recommendation, but the film is put together extremely well with some interesting characters and great pacing. There is a supernatural thread running through which get a reasonable examination and explanation, and I was a bit surprised with the ending which wrapped things up pretty well. At 100 minutes run time it feels pretty right in length.The film looks good on Blu-ray with great detail and good visibility in the dark scenes, and the dts-HD MA audio does really well with noisy dance club scenes as well as with general voice clarity.

Un film che la prima volta che lo vidi gli diedi un 5 rivedendolo gli ho dato un 6 e più volte lo vedi e più ti piace, non potevo quindi non prenderlo! Un film niente male con un continuo di suspance
