Super quality and features coated prongs.
This is a very good moisture sensor. The metal prints are coated so therefore are protected against corrosion and oxidising from electrolysis unlike the cheaper ones with copper exposed. This version can remain in the soil permanently and allows for frequent and quick measurements. It has very good quality chips on board and arrives in an anti-static bag with the quick connect cable. Overall I’m very happy with the quality.

Don't get it wet
Some of the other reviews are misleading about the unit's corrosion resistance. If you get moisture on the electronic components near the connectors, they WILL corrode and the unit will stop working.

Poor, doesn't work - but here is the fix!
This item doesn't work, it's clearly a batch/production fault so don't spend hours like me trying to get it to work! Thankfully there is a fix, if you put a 1M Ohm resistor across signal and ground you'll see it magically starts to work and react instantly as it should. Thanks to Stewart Cash for the fix btw.
