Love the giraffe! Came exactly as depicted & is awesome in the room - stands out! I almost wasn't going to buy this from a previous reviewer's comment that it came shipped to them with the neck bent to fit the box. (A lot of stuffed animals everywhere seem to be shipped this way, & I don't like it either). But I took a chance since it was on sale , and am glad to say this didn't happen to me. The giraffe stands about 4 l/2 ft. tall and the box it came in was 5 ft. tall - no bending of anything to fit the box. And was wrapped in sturdy plastic inside too. This giraffe is unique, stands tall & sturdy, & was wrapped & shipped great. Well worth the price. Thanks, thanks.

My 21 year-old daughter has wanted this Melissa and Doug giraffe since she was a little bitty thing. She’s graduating college and doing student teaching now. This is her last semester and hopefully she will have her own classroom soon!! She also recently married and we are four hours apart. When I saw her, I thought that’s the perfect gift for my daughter classroom. She was thrilled when she was delivered. She’s actually more beautiful in person. Her quality is amazing!! The Melissa & Doug Giant Giraffe is absolutely amazing! Standing over 4 feet tall, it makes a real statement in any room and instantly became the star of my child’s play area. The giraffe is incredibly lifelike, with beautiful attention to detail, from its realistic spots to its soft, cuddly fur. It’s sturdy yet soft, making it perfect for both imaginative play and as a room decoration. My kids love hugging it and including it in their pretend adventures. Given as a gift. Well made life-like large stuffed animal. All four legs sit evenly on the floor; sturdy animal, but not for sitting on. Melissa and Doug offer good quality items. Just make sure you have the space for this tall giraffe.

This giraffe is amazing... Our boys loved it on Christmas day and will continue to love it. The giraffe is really as big as you think, it comes up to my chin and I am 5' 4" tall. It is a durable and sturdy animal. All 3 of our kids had to "ride" the giraffe and they are 2, 3 and 7 years old! I do not recommend everyone riding this animal but it was fine for our 3 boys. We had a Melissa and Doug Christmas this year, with mostly all Melissa and Doug toys because our children really needed learning toys and durable toys that will not break and their toys fit the bill. The kids love every single thing we got that is Melissa and Doug brand. These toys are the best quality on the market and the giraffe is the finest stuffed animal we have ever had. Our 3 year old kept climbing on it by himself (with a stool next to the giraffe) and re-situating himself during the "ride" and the giraffe never tipped over or buckled under him. The giraffe is sewn very well and I am a seamstress and sew clothing and baby necessities and it is just really fine craftsmanship, the head has styrofoam under the fabric I believe and the body is some thick material under the fabric and definitely has a wire body frame underneath and down through the legs. The stance of the giraffe and the appearance is as real as it gets though. It looks real which is great because that helps kids to learn what the real animal looks like. So all around just wonderful.

I bought this giraffe with the intent of wrapping it with christmas lights and having it be a lamp and conversation piece for my apartment living room. It came in the mail in a huge box and was the most exciting thing I got sent to me in a long time. This thing is awesome! There isn't much to be said about it -- it's a huge plush giraffe. It has a wire in its neck and legs for flexibility, although it isn't extremely flexible. The legs and neck were strong enough to support the weight of my two crazy kittens who used Lilith (my giraffe) as a climbing post. It's not something you usually see, a giant giraffe stuffed animal in a college student's apartment, so it definitely added a fun vibe to my living situation with my roommates and when we had guests over. People are always a mixture of weirded out and relaxed by Lilith's presence. It tells them that there's a kid in my soul and that I'm not ashamed to have such a childish thing on display. It allows for a conversation about interesting things the other person collects or has in their apartment. Ultimately I did wrap lights around her body and neck but found it all got tangled and would slide down and not look very great. At one point, I used her body as a starting point and wrapped the lights around the living room, which was nice. Since I've moved out of my apartment and back home temporarily, she has taken up residence by my snake's tank and now has a new purpose -- snake post while I clean his tank. He likes to wrap around her antler-things and ears while I clean his tank, and it provides a very exotic feel to the area around his tank. All in all, this was a great purchase. The most pointless yet well-spent $60 in my young adult lifetime.

I bought this for my Grandson and he loves it

This was a present for my wife, the proverbial”mad giraffe lady”. It is much, much nicer than I expected it to be. It is nearly as tall as my wife, is very good quality, well made and very good looking to the point of being handsome. He (and I won’t go in to how she knows he is he) is now called Ozzy (apparently the things on his head are ossicones, mind you I am a little ashamed to admit that I know that) and takes centre stage in our house. It was worth every penny, my wife loves it and I earned well over 37 billion browny points for getting it for her.
