Aga Stainless Steel Whistling Kettle (2.2l) - Cream Enamel

Solid kettle and well made. The kettle boils the water very quickly and the whistle is nice and loud. Very pleased with it,looks good too.

I have had oil fired AGA, since 1963 when it burnt a tankful of oil a year costing £26.00I downsized a few years ago and walked into this house and said to the owner Ile have it the reason being there stood a cream 2oven AGA.I recently purchased a cream AGA kettle for £124.50 I love the shape/design and quality BUT OH dear the spout and whistle. I am 87 and find it almost impossible to hear the whistle, it is high pitched and out of my hearing range, it is also rather pathetic , one can liken it 'out of a Christmas Cracker' come on AGA surely you can do better than that

Good quality, fast boiling, loud whistle. Designed by AGA and designed specifically for use on an AGA... It works on an AGA as you would expect but don’t bother trying to use on any other stove top as it simply won’t work as well. Bought after frustration of using cheaper alternatives that did not work well on an AGA and amazed by the difference, almost certainly as a result of the very thick flat base that transfers heat directly from the hot plate, unlike other kettles that don’t make full contact with the AGA hot plate, which is effectively the only way any cook wear on an AGA will properly ever work.

This was a present from a friend and when it arrived I was thrilled. It is a substantial piece of kit and easy to use. It is a heavy kettle with an equally heavy price I have since discovered. The whistle is a bit pathetic in all honesty but the whistle looks like a mouses nose, sounds like a mouses squeak and is really cute.

Please read the other 2 star review by Rektikano.We have had this kettle for 3 years and it is a great boiler, very fast.It also looks good.BUT it does air lock when pouring if over half full which creates spurts of boiling water.In my opinion this is a real let-down and very annoying, to the point now where we are going to replace it with another that pours correctly.

I bought this kettle for my daughter and son-in-law. They already had a similar one but it looked very well used infact looked very un attractive. I felt it was time to replace. They were very appreciative of it and realised how old the previous kettle was. It is very efficient and the whistle is loud and clear. I was pleased with my buy as a special present.

I bought an AGA kettle 6 months ago and it has begun to rust around the bottom of the kettle on the rim ,the paint work has started to blister and rust has appeared,I am 67 years of age and so looked forward to buying an AGA kettle which cost me £70 and at my age it is a lot of money(a quarter of my monthly pension) SO ALL OF YOU GUY'S OUT THERE YOU ARE NOT BUYING AN AGA KETTLE BUT A KHUN RIKON KETTLE WHICH IS A Swiss COMPANY AND ASSEMBLED IN WARICKSHIRE.I am in the process of discussing this PROBLEM with Mr William McGrath who is the CHIEF EXECUTIVE of AGA RANGEMASTER and awaiting on a result re: faulty product.May I add I am NOT an alone case.
