Started using this to saddle hunt. It works incredibly well. No issues with slipping at all. It doesn't budge at all when you load it. Just make sure you switch to top rope on the selector switch, or you will have some slippage before it catches. It's super smooth to take up rope and to descend. I also wrap my carabiners with rubber to eliminate the metal-on-metal noise. I highly recommend!

I thought that the anti panic function is for other people until I panicked. So I purchased one. It is protecting you from your basic instinct of grabbing on to something when you fall.

This simple, light device hangs on a biner on my harness all the time, so it's easily accessible for progress capture while belaying, just in case. It's a lot quicker to throw this on than a Prussik knot. It captures progress easily and I don't worry about the teeth damaging the rope. Con: I wish it could be released more easily. I find it very finicky to slide down the rope, even when it's NOT under load. For the size, weight and function, it's a great little device. There are definitely heavier, more expensive devices that would go on easier and switch to descend mode cleaner.

Egal ob Canyoning, Klettern oder Abseiltouren, der Tibloc darf genau so wenig wie der Shunt oder die Steigklemme von Petzl an einem Gurt fehlen. Hochwertige Verarbeitung und super im Einsatz. Durch das geringe Gewicht von 35g fällt er nahezu nicht am Gurt auf bzw. Ins Gewicht!

I use this for top rope solo and it is excellent. I have placed my life in the hands of this device multiple times and it has never let me down or led to me feeling any concerns about its ability to catch or rappel down afterwards. It is not cheap BUT you will be putting your safety in this 100% so do not scrimp on cheap alternatives

Petzel tibloc, great little device, dose what it says and more, I use mine for a foot loop ascender ( see pics) please note this is designed as an emergency rope stop and not for what I use it for !!! Best use is with 11mm ropes, highly recommend item for arborists and climbers

Excelente calidad, es un “ must have” para todo escalador. Petzl siempre es garantía de calidad y seguridad, además este es un clásico de clásicos, personalmente me gusta más que su sucesor el Neox ya que este último suena como matraca y no le veo gran cambio en seguridad y desempeño… la palanca de seguridad es un plus enorme del Gri Gri convencional y brinda más confianza a la hora de dar cuerda y prevenir una caída fuerte .
